Everything from the staff, food facilities
Nothing to dislike.
Staff were friendly and helpful, ambience of the communal areas was good. Training room and the catering organised for the day was again good.
Room was a bit dated, and in places required better cleaning. At £139.00 for one night in Hyde the room was not good value, the standard was about the same as old style Travelodge and Premier Inn. I travel a lot for my job and stop in a variety of accommodation so I consider I have the experience to make such judgements.
Bar meal. Starter and main course arrived at the same time! 2 of the 4 pillows had dust and fluff on them.
All the staff were really helpful and enthusiastic. The food in both the restaurant and pub was good. The leisure facilities were excellent including a large and very well maintained pool and two squash courts. The location is quiet.
Our room was rather stuffy despite opening the window so I was too hot at night. The bathroom fan did not work but I reported it and was advised that it would be fixed asap and I believe it will be. The corridors to the rooms need redecorating.
in need of overall update. room not clean, dusty.
close to friends
Booked this hotel as a place for several family members to stay while attending a family funeral. The facilities were great for a family gathering - ok bedrooms, restaurant with good food, cosy bar that served meals, large swimming pool and fitness complex and a Starbucks cafe. The staff were all superb, especially Clare at reception, and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable during our stay. In fact, I don't think I have ever stayed at a hotel with friendlier staff. Breakfasts were fresh and well cooked. There was a good choice of food in the restaurant and pub food in the bar and service was quick and professional. We upgraded to the Upper Deck double room which was comfortable. At first sight, I wasn't too impressed with the hotel but after 5 nights of staying I realised that the place is a well run organisation staffed by loyal, friendly people whose first aim is to provide the best service they can to their clients.
Location is a it out of the way but not too far from the motorway. Parking can get busy as the hotel is used by many local people for its facilities. Some of the rooms and public areas are looking a bit tired but it is a busy place and the staff work hard to keep everywhere looking its best.
Leisure facilities, very friendly and helpful staff.
We could not get a table at the restaurant and were not made aware that booking was needed for this. The music in the bar was unbearably loud. The Halloween theme was too imposing.
New bar menu - tacky Battered room - looked like police had raided it Size of room
Comfortable Bed Swimming Pool
Room not ready on time Poor initial service at reception Confusion over room type paid for
Really nice feel to the place. Good to have a restaurant and bar on site. Nice big pool and good sized family room
Pillows were awful. Just couldn't get comfortable. My daughter was upset that she couldn't go in the jacuzzi as she was under 16 even though the poster on the wall said 8 plus. My son was told he couldn't mess about in the pool as it was too busy despite this being in the designated time that children could use the pool.
friendliness of staff, hotel very clean and tidy, breakfast had a lovely selection
Would have liked to have been informed that the room had to be paid for by the reception and not the cleaner in the room, as no mention of it when checking in so presumed it would be settled when checking out :(
I liked everything about the hotel couldn't fault it at all I stayed here on the night of my sons wedding the wedding day was absolutely brilliant the food the room the staff were all amazing
The team in the fitness suite were so friendly, if I were local I would definitely sign up as a member. I did a number of classes during my stay and found everyone to be enthusiastic and knowledgeable. If you are looking for decent gym facilities with a friendly team then you couldn't get better than here.
Check in / out staff very polite. Room spacious, clean, warm. Breakfast good quality
Bar staff in public bar not very attentive, served the person nearest to them even if they had only just turned up
Great facilities, food was nice and staff were friendly.
Room was far too warm. No way to open window and heating off yet room was very warm.
Facilities - gym, pool
Rooms were dated, beds small, uncomfortable, felt dirty
Lots of parking, friendly staff, good breakfast and it would seem they throw a loud party
Wedding that was being held was incredibly loud even with earplugs in. They started cleaning the pool decks/floors? before 7am, which was not how I wanted to be woken up after such a brief sleep. Room needs redoing very bet up.
Beds were very comfortable.
Music kept us awake till 1am.
The reception staff were helpful and friendly. The large heated pool was very useful for keeping my 2 year old grandson entertained though the water was quite cold for him!
Our room wasnt as clean as I would have liked, the window wouldnt close properly so it was quite noisy from traffic. The curtain net was very dirty, so was the tv. We had a meal in the restaurant which wasnt very good so had to send it back though we were offered something else.
The staff, all made you feel very welcome and were very attentive.
Thought the dinning room chairs needed recovered as they looked a bit grotty
Restaurant served lovely good and staff extremely friendly
Kids running up and down corridor from wedding
The staff on reception was very helpfull and the gentleman who serves breakfast n evenin meals was very pleasant and always had a smile .. Cannot fault the staff
The bed was not comfy
Access to the swimming pool, gym, sauna and steam room came at no extra cost which was amazing value for money. We loved having a bath in our bathroom as apposed to just having a shower (which is normally the case when we stay at a hotel) and the bathroom also had a heated towel rack, which was handy when it came to drying our swimming costumes off before morning.
Our TV had very few channels and the signal was bad. A few surfaces in our room were dusty.
Excellent breakfast, good leisure facilities and very helpful staff, having a pub on site as the location was a little out from other things.
Parking in overflow car park. Allocated parking for residents close to the hotel would be nice.
Tatty rooms in great need of renovation. Buffet breakfast poor, obviously only catering for small numbers so little choice and food standing a long time drying out and become very unattractive; would be better cooking to order.
