I thought our welcome was warm and sincere from the receptionist on duty. She was very pleasant. Our room was clean and tidy. The bar was busy and had a friendly atmosphere (even though it was The Derby footie match). Breakfast was good. Hot and tasty. Overall a good stay The only negitive point I have to say is that the staff on duty in the breakfast room were far from attentive. I had to ask three times for coffee and had to get mugs off another table myself as the table I had been offered to sit at had none. Had the room been busy I may well of understood, but there was only One other person there.

WiFi very good, and free. Leisure facilities excellent. Staff excellent. Excessive use of low wattage energy saver bulbs gives the hotel an institutional feel. Restaurant very dark and reading in it is difficult. Television dominated by sport channels, not everyone is a sports lover and they need catering for as well. With all the free digital channels available this should be an easy job.

Best leisure pool we have used. Really friendly staff. Nice clean room and comfy bed. Could do with more milk cartons in room or cartons held on reception. We asked for more milk and they offered us a jug from the bar but this would not have kept until the following morning.

We have stayed at the Village a couple of times now once being for a family wedding at the Village Hyde. We find it a pleasant and comfortable hotel where you can relax with excellent facilities. We have also stayed at other Village hotels but really do prefer Hyde.

The location was excellent for my business appointment the following day The staff , who were helpful ,courtious and polite . The strong smell off chlorine as one walked into the hotel reception . The musty dirty carpet smell in corridors , it was what might be expected from a tired b&b . The noisy bar full of people worst the wear for drink , women screaming and shouting in the bar area , also the football on screens every where .

The price was very good and the rooms were clean and tidy.the hotel also had excellent facilities ie swimming pool etc As we stayed on a saturday no food deals were on and it cost over £20 for 2 burgers instead of 2 for a tenner mon to fri. The bed was excellent but the pillows were the down filled kind and useless for me,but thats a personal choice

The warm and friendly atmosphere, the staff were very helpful. The pool and spa area was very clean and easy to get to. Rooms were warm, comfortable and very clean. The location was very handy for all the towns in Tameside also if you wanted a trip into the centre of Manchester this was only a 20 min ride away. I will stay at this hotel again in the future. I have no complaints.
