my experience at the village is to say poor,i booked a room for our wedding night, the room considering it was supposed to be a suite was rather shabby, the head board full of dust the bed sheets marked, something i didnt expect from the reknown devere chain,as you could imagine wed been up from 5.30 am so getting to our room at turned 11pm we were shattered, so i reported it to the reception desk on check out the receptionist said she would report the matter at the house meeting and someone would get intouch with me but no one has, considering it was our wedding night and i just wanted everything to be perfect it certainly wasnt.our stay at the village hyde was not good at all

The hotel was clean, comfortable and had good facilities. Value for money. Staff friendly and helpful. Although the location is in an urban area of Hyde it was ideal for what we needed. Nothing.

The pool was excellent, a good length in which to swim laps, good changing facilities with very friendly staff and the gym was very well equipped. These facilities enhanced our stay. Good location, direct train to Manchester 8 minutes walk, and a direct train to Glossop 22 minutes walk. Residential location meant that the Victory pub and the Verve grill were the only two very close locations to eat and drink, howbver the choice and quality in both is good if a little pricey, but the Victory pub offered discounts if eating early.

The leisure facilities were extensive Decor of the room was looking tired. The fact that the leisure club is open to the public meant that the pool and gym are over crowded

near to where I wanted to be and reasonably priced. Room clean and warm. room too far away from lift/entrance. . a long walk. Breakfast not good. Eggs either rock hard or raw! Plenty to eat but not appetising. We are used to better but we pay a high price so we had a fair visit to Hyde.

Friendly staff. Good sized pool. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere in restaurant (eps with children). Good sized bedroom. Noisy room (next to heating system). Bed uncomfortable. Poor choice of kids drinks in restaurant (no fresh apple/orange juice etc)

Staff helpful and friendly. Swimming pool good.Evening meal good value. Breakfasts good. Easy access onto the Internet. Really convenient for rail station. (Please don't pass on my e-mail address to a third party; I don't want a deluge of promotional garbage.) Seeing food eg pizza crusts and other litter in the corridors Sunday morning. Car parking was a bit tight.

Staff were rude and uninterested, bar staff collected my glass whilst there was still beer in it, when I pointed this out to him he simply dropped it back on the table.. I suggested he could take it away as he had now had his fingers inside the glass, no apologies or even eye contact! Also main dining area not open on Sunday nights.

Everyone is friendly and the gym/pool are good. Rooms are quite big, hotel is quiet and the free wifi is acceptable. Breakfast is OK and bar is reasonably priced. Ate in the bar one evening and food was about right size/quality for cost. Staff always very friendly. Beds are a little hard and quilts are too small! Hotel is looking a little tired in corridors but generally rooms are OK. Location is spartan, need a car to really explore.

Friendly staff and location. Rooms were dirty,in my room I had ripped carpets, mould growing in the bathroom, water stains on the ceiling, could not see out of the window as it was condensated between the double glazed units. Breakfast was non existent when I arrived at 7:30am E.g no bacon left, burnt sausages, scrambled eggs were dried out. In the restaurant the night before they had ran out of food as per my first order. Overall I found the hotel dirty and unclean to the point that I would never use it again and I would certainly not recommend to a business colleague or a friend.

Very much enjoye the pool and relax area & the rooms were great. Staff in the verve grill were terrible and the food wasn't up to much either. For this reason I wouldn't go back to this hotel.

Not a lot. The room was booked as a double, we were given a twin. There was a 3 hour wait for a table in the restaurant even though we were told there was no need to book a table when we checked in. The hotel had several party's on that night and the noise was terrible.

Welcome and departure by reception staff. Facilities on site and reasonable price for food and drink. Big stain on bedroom wall whilst did not affect stay showed the hotel in very bad light. Don't know how long it was there. Will attach photo. Televison did not work. Cleanliness of shower especially around shower screen was bad. Would not have accepted in my own home.
