reception staff really nice as was the young bar man in the verve.. We can down for breakfast 5 mins late and wasnt goin to get served, only because te young lad in the verve the night before served us.Maybe breakfast could be extended until 10 am

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities were excellent. It was idea for the course which I did at the Hotel, overall very good. I arrived at the Hotel at 1pm but couldn't check in till 2.30pm which was a bit inconvenient but I was welcome to use the facilities while I waited.

The price was very good and the rooms were clean and tidy.the hotel also had excellent facilities ie swimming pool etc As we stayed on a saturday no food deals were on and it cost over £20 for 2 burgers instead of 2 for a tenner mon to fri. The bed was excellent but the pillows were the down filled kind and useless for me,but thats a personal choice

The warm and friendly atmosphere, the staff were very helpful. The pool and spa area was very clean and easy to get to. Rooms were warm,comfortable and very clean. The location was very handy for all the towns in Tameside also if you wanted a trip into the centre of Manchester this was only a 20 min ride away. I will stay at this hotel again in the future. I have no complaints.

I found the hotel staff friendly and the hotel very accommodating for our needs. The breakfast was very good with fast efficient staff. We found the meals in the bar although very nice were perhaps a little pricey.

Sportfacilities are nice with a good gym and 25m pool. Pool was a bit warm (29 degrees) for serious lap swimming. Rooms need refurbishment; especially the bathroom. Moulds were growing around the bathtub.

Excellent pool and sauna/steam room. Friendly welcome when I approached the reception desk. Room clean and basic, no frills but adequate for couple of nights stay. Bathroom bit on the small side, and thin walls. My second night there spoilt by very loud lady in room next door, shouting till 1am. That aside rooms are good value for the money, and you cant legislate for other peoples rude behaviour. Meal in Verve was ok, chicken was overdone and dried out, staff apologised, breakfasts were excellent, and overall good experience. Prices are expensive for meals, I stay in london regularly and prices are on a par with hotel food there.

Good location for the velodrome nice spa facilities Excellent breakfast All the disabled parking spaces seemed to be taken with non disabled people. I was travelling with elderly and disabled releatives and had to park a good distance from the entrance as all the disabled spaces were taken. It was also difficult to drop anyone off at the entrance as it was a bit tight. The lady on reception at the time of check in was very off hand and disinterested and one of the ladies at breakfast was very abrupt and rude when asked for something. However the young guy on duty was very pleasant and helpful.

Very willing and able staff in the bar and restuarant with prompt service. We had a dinner party of 10 with a young child - all were treated well and the menu had something for everyone. The door to the room had a bad door closer - it caused the door to slam shut!

Excellent quality restaurant Our room on a hot night was stuffy even with window open and noisy until the early hours with noise from youngsters in car park. Fan provided but ineffective.To be fair this was an unusually hot weekend and this would not normally be a problem

Hotel and staff lovely but we found our room to be far too hot and stuffy,even with no heating on. There was a wedding party on during our weekend end stay which ofcourse is to be expected at a hotel. But I have to say the noise level coming from below our room was unbelievable. Breakfast was very good as was the service.
