late bar and good facilities
twin beds were quite small
Restaurant food excellent and staff helpful friendly polite and efficient Cleanliness good Conference facilities for event we were attending were good
Rowdy and antisocial behaviour of group of guests in corridor in early hours of one morning and further loud behaviour during early hours of following morning from outside of hotel.
Very comfortable bed, good location, very good bar with top drinks and lovely food.
Fixed shower head, black fungus on the shower ceiling.
spa facilities was brilliant . Staff was friendly
only one problem we had was ringing for something like ice bucket champagne glasses etc to the room which never came, I had to go down stairs to get what I wanted because no one came to my room
Facilities, free parking, friendly and helpful staff.
Being given a connecting room as a single traveller. I could hear everything next door - even them stirring their tea! Needless to say, this was detrimental to an otherwise comfortable stay.
Staff very knowledgable and friendly Excellent facilities of spa , bar , and restaraunt
No flannels , room too hot . Radiator beside bed was on and no facility to turn radiator heat off or down If you do not drive the Hotel 10 miles out of Manchester so added 30 minutes to public transport time
Our room was in such an obscure location.... We had to walk up a flight of stairs, then along a never ending corridor, then finally down two flights of stairs and along our actual corridor. Never been in a room so far away and confusing to find as that before. Very strange layout. The stay was pleasant though once we found the room! Shame I had to call twice for an ice bucket and wait over two hours for it to be delivered... Had the room been in sensible proximity to reception, I would have fetched the bucket myself. But overall, nice hotel and good location.
Food, poor selection for vegetarians.
Gym, Pool, steam room and Sauna facilities were very good. Room itself was just average and that was the only downsize of the whole deal. The lights were too low and the exhaust in bathroom didn't worked. Still the excellent support facilities made ths stay worthwhile.
I advised the reception (twice) that the desk lamp was not working (burnt out bulb) but this was not repaired. The hot water tap (shower) was not working correctly.
Try to get a room in the back section over looking the river. VERY quiet and a wonderful view. A little more of a walk from the front desk but well worth it!!
staff were so professional and helpful and breakfast was well presented and very enjoyable such awide and varied choice Terry Houghton
Could not find anything to dislike not that i was looking
Everything but one thing
No wifi code in the room, got comfy on the bed and did not want to get up and go to reception for it, would be better if it was in the room ready to use
Location Food (Victory Pub was excellent) Breakfast was the best buffet breakfast I've had in a hotel
Room was too warm, no cooling and inadequate window opening to cool room down. Noisy guests Noise from a disco in the function room was loud in our rooom
Good bar and restaurant; sports facilities also very good
Location may not be the best and the sports facilities can get a bit busy
Leisure facilities Breakfast was good Comfortable beds Great value
Wasn't the cleanest in the room, the television was a dusty for example. Felt like the hotel was busy and the room allocated hadn't been used for a while. Room tired and dated, but much cheaper than equivalent Village hotels, great for money though!
The gym was really good and didn't have no problem parking.
Room service was poor, TV didn't have many channels and food was really bad no quality at all.
Location was great as was the Gym. Large room.
Food in Bar was very poor for the price...very basic. Room was noisy at night also. I thought staff could've been more attentive, tables left with empty glasses and bottles.
Location and quality of sleep
Cleaning of the bathtub. Lots of mold. Improve directions to go there. Google Maps does not have exactly the hotel location and sent me to a street in front of the hotel but without access to it.
The Village hotels have excellent leisure facilities.
the choice of TV channels sis very very poor. It's dominated by Sky Sports, and if you are not a sports fan ............... Very little choice. Why no freview?
Good beds, very clean, nice staff, lovely pool
Breakfast choice was good Bed was comfortable and room was spacious
Room could have been cleaner, much dust especially behind the TV, toilet seat dirty
Wifi and staff is great!
Ask for a front facing room
near to motorway
beds uncomfortable bathroom needed updating and cleaning changing rooms dirty when mentioning to the staff they didn't seem to care
