Friendly helpful staff Original room booked as a family room. When we arrived the room was occupied by someone else! We took a non family room instead as we no longer needed the extra beds. The hotel did refund me the difference in cost but not until I asked the following morning. It was not offered which I was disappointed about. Room was of low standard for the price paid. Had been decorated but detail is poor. Overpainted doors, loose door handles , ours came off. Also had to wait 20 minutes for a table for breakfast as the room is too small for all the guests. But they do have room for a Starbucks next to the breakfast area? Generally ok if you need just overnight accommodation but would not recommend for any more than that.

It was a good experience overall, quite young and upbeat. The food was of a high standard, fresh bistro-style with a twist, and desserts a must. Most staff members were friendly and approachable. The Village Hotel Cheadle was a bit noisy on Friday night and Saturday night until about 12:00pm (due to the noise/ music from the parties in the function suites on the ground floor just underneath the room where we were staying). I noticed that a certain attention to detail which I had found on a previous stay in that hotel was lacking this time: for instance, little touches like a more exciting selection of hot beverages in the room + availability of biscuits would have been welcome. Other minuses: toilettries to the bare minimum (plus no fancy products), no shampoo and no hairdryer in the room. A beauty/ hairdressing salon would have been handy too, especially if you are short on time. As a conclusion, there is a definite potential for the hotel to position itself as a boutique hotel, should it choose to pay more attention to detail.

We like the hotel because it is family friendly. Your staff are friendly and welcoming. We ate in the hotel only on one occasion. I was extremely disappointed with the food. We had the special on the curry night. The meal basically tasted like a tin of tomato soup poured over some chicken. The platter of nan and onion bajis that accompanied it was okay but the rest was really bad. We are Irish and it is not our custom to complain so we ate as much as we could and just didnt eat there anymore. We also had friends and family that we were visiting and we went else where to eat on the other occasions.

The hotel was local to where we wanted to be and has a good Leisure Club. The walls in our bed room was very thin, you could hear out next door coughing all night. Although there was a good choice for breakfast the Bacon had gone hard under the heating light.

This hotel was booked for the swimming pool facilities, unfortunately it is not asdvertised that children can only go in at certain times-we therefore paid over £50 more to stay here as opposed to other hotels and due to to the timings only got a 20min swim with the facilities which was very upsetting for the children

I have eaten in the bar twice, and the food is below average and the restaurant(once) is average. Rooms are stylish, but dark, it could be alot better. Gym is good and has free classes too! Is also lively and always things on at the bar area which is nice! Shame about the food!

I liked the location great for families, very relaxed and the facilities are excellent including large tv in each room, pool, spa jacuzzi and gym coffee shop and food available in the large bar throughout the day I didnt like the waiting times for food ordered in the large bar or that as a paying guest in a group of 15 staying at the hotel we returned to the big bar to order a meal each and beverages as there was w football match on the tv the bar was very busy and open to passing trade, when I enquiered about table and seating I was told they are all taken wait for the match to end when the bar would clear, my group had to sit in the conservatory on one settee, two chairs a windowsill others had to stand as the match was not even at half time it was a long wait both for seating and food and when it arrived the food was cold. The breakfast service wasnt much better having to repeatedly ask for pot of tea and cutlery, while staff were nice it all felt a bit conveyor belt. The beds were pure comfort but the lighting is very poor and the feature wall is almost black I frlt like it was permanetly a dark evening not great for women who like light when getting ready for an evening out

Would stay if deal continue as I may be working up there for 3 months. Wine was was very expensive. More like London top hotel prices. Meals in the la carte restaurant were average. Gravy was like water and tasteless.

This was a business trip so all my needs were catered for. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was nice. The hotel amenities were good too. I was given a 'disability' room - as I'm 6' tall, the sink came to my knees! As it was still classes as 'Christmas holiday' time, they didn't serve breakfast until 8am for the week which meant I had to skip it every day, despite it being included in the price.

From the moment that we arrived at the hotel the welcoming was very good and the relaxed but professional approach of the staff was found across the hotel. The room was ready early for us and was clean and well equipped. Breakfast the enxt morning was also good even though the restaurant was full.

Are stay during Christmas was ok Not keen on your policy of paying before we stay, also the bar credit poilicy you have. Hotels where we have stayed before get paid when we leave, and we can put drinks on our room bill without out a credit limit, but this is your policy.

It is always very comfortable to stay there no matter which grade of room you choose. It suits us also as we like to take our dog with us. The reception staff are very helpful and cheerful. On our last visit the room we were allocated had a very, very strong smell of cigarettes. When we complained we were given a complimentary upgrade, you can't say fairer than that!!!
