location, spa, helpful staf.
small room. no safety box.
Stayed in this resort hotel for a night and was quite impressed by the decor, food and services offered by them! Combination of a comfortable bed with great linen, spacious rooms and great range of morning breakfast served was a real great deal at that price! Very happy with the stay, surely will recommend friends and family! One more chain of hotels added to my favourite list!
Bathrooms should have been cleaner and fitted with modern amentities. Missing hair-dryer in double rooms and common area carpets should be maintained well.
The rooms and bar was nice
The price of beer was way ott
A pleasant and comfortable stay.
Service during breakfast was a little slow during peak time.
Village Hotels are very good indeed. Very comfy beds and good service generally with the feel of an up market budget hotel
This was the first time I had not stayed upper deck and for the small difference in price there was quite a drop in standard. Our room badly needed a refurb. There were drips all down the walls in several places and the trim on the mirror was peeling off. the window handles were very loose. The decor was depressing. Two of the walls were painted black and with a black lightshade and no overhead light it was really dingy. Also there was creaking all night and doors opening and closing which may just have been the positioning of the room but we did not get much sleep. Will definitely go upper deck next time. It was not worth £115. I wish we had been offered an upgrade, in retrospect I would have gladly paid the difference. When I looked online later it was only another £10. Why do the substandard rooms have to still be so expensive?
Location & Breakfast
Told upon arrival if we'd been another 10 min our room would of been given to someone else as they had over booked - Mould of the bathroom wall - panel hanging off in bathroom - faulty heating - Noisey Hotel

The breakfast was amazing. Plenty of optional extras like a pool.
The bed was a little hard. The w-fi signal was weak from our room. We were staying at the Village as we had an early start in Dudley. ~Unfortunately it was nearly impossible to get the required sleep as they put an event on and had music so loud that the bass was shaking our room on the 2nd floor. These type of events really should have had an alternate building as the way it was done showed a lack of respect for guests who hired a room to actually sleep in. This music continued until after 2:00 AM. The on site pub featured microwaved chips covered in processed cheese for £6.
Excellent helpful staff. Breakfast was gorgeous!
Room was a little tired needs painting and carpet cleaning
Location of hotel and the welcoming staff
Size of the room and bathroom
the starbucks on site
I didn't appreciate being woken up for 2 hours at midnight as there was a christmas party happening for B&Q and they located us on the first floor right above the smoking area. It was as if these drunken idiots were in the room with us as the windows were useless at blocking out any noise. I phoned reception but the noise remained. This was supposed to be a romantic break for me and my husband to recuperate as we have a toddler at home. When we handed the keys back in the morning the receptionist failed to ask how our stay was so I advised what an awful nights sleep we had..... she replied with everybody did. Apparently people were arrested for smashing the place up etc. The stay was a complete dissapointment.
Swimming pool excellent. Bed v comfortable. The Black Country museam almost nxt door is a must. Kids still talking about it now
We had room 138 and 140 just above the disco. The hotel had 2 weddings on that night n disco did not go off till 01:15. Advice u book rooms high up or get ear plugs
we arrived at 10.30pm after a 5 hour drive and a number of guests kept us awake until after 2am being loud outside of our room. Staff did nothing
Pool was good and sauna
room in need of refurbishment carpet did not look to have been hoovered
The bed was comfortable. Shower was powerful. Room service was available
Location (once I found the way in). Friendly, professional staff. Great cooked breakfast. Nice room.
Leisure facilities are excellent for a hotel group. The Upper Deck room was well situated away from the main building meaning there was no noise when in the room.
This hotel is popular and is regularly booked for parties such as weddings so the hotel can seem to be taken over by these groups.
The room was beautifully decorated, and clean and felt very plush. The bar, food selection was appropriate and really nice.
The bed was uncomfortable compared to what I'm used to! I used the bar area, but found some of the clientele unsavoury! One rather (loud) drunk gentleman present went unnoticed whilst my son was asked to remove his hat!
Brilliant location, tastefully decorated. Friendly staff,
Paid £115 for a double room without breakfast only to find it was two singles pushed together, still comftable but not what I expected
When asked if I was able to have some herbal to bring to my room they replied on this occasion I can but they didn't normally . But I still didn't get any after beening twice that I would
i liked the staff, food and service was good.
the paint work had dirty hand prints on, and marks.
* Check-in was very efficient and reception staff were helpful. * The pool was a really good size and changing rooms were clean. * Full English Breakfast was tasty
* We were advised not to go to the restaurant at 7pm at it gets busy so we went at 8pm. It was mostly empty except for a large group and three tables of 2. We were told there would be a wait due to the large group and them being short staffed so we ate elsewhere. * For the price of the room (£100+), I was surprised to see it looking a bit tired and in need of a paint.
Range of facilities Size of room Free parking Quality of breakfast
lack of TV channels in room Lack of maintenance to pool side areas (rusty RSJ's, misted double glazed units)
Comfortable bed also good shower no noise will stay again
