The receptionist was cheerful and helpful. The bedroom was clean and beds comfortable. The breakfast was not so good as eggs were rock hard and bacon cold. Great selection though.
the dirty bathroom and how noisey it was
The staff were ok
The room was freezing with wet windows and peeling wallpaper. I turned the heater on to warm it up and part way through the night the heater then started making an almighty noise waking me up. I chose to freeze and switched it back off only to be woken not long after by lorries outside tesco next door honking their horns. Room quality very poor and not as clean as it should be.
Large, comfy bed with lots of Sky channels. Good location to where we spent our evening.
Wasn't given the Wifi password when we went in which would have been useful. When we went down to breakfast there wasn't anyone there to greet us so we just sat down & started getting food. Apparently, that's not what you're supposed to do.
good facility's to use when there
Double bed was just two beds pushed together and that was the up graded room, wifi was slow and rooms not that clean dust on TV, bathroom was dirty and toilet was broken
nice bar area friendly staff, nice welcome
Expensive drinks, bedroom not been vacuumed bits including a cigarette lighter and a coin on the floor.Obviously it hadnt been inspected either.
reception staff were friendly breakfast was good and nice staff
bathroom was tired
Change of rooms was performed quickly after complaining
First room allocated was of a poor standard of cleanlines and upkeep/maintenance
The room was ok took a while to heat up but was nice inside
Was disappointed that we wanted to eat in the restaurant but was closed so had to get tale away in room not happy with that at all
Friendly staff, excellent facilities, sky movies was a nice touch. Breakfast was very good.
STAFF, FOOD, CLEANLENESS.
THE LIFT WAS OUT OF ODER ON THE FIRST DAY.
the staff on reception made us aware of the xmas party going on & that the music would finish at 12. The rooms were clean & the beds were very comfortable
Nothing I can think of
No facilities available
There was a private function going on therefore we were told we was limited to facilities on offer. This turned out to be none. Very dissapointed
location, spa, helpful staf.
small room. no safety box.
Stayed in this resort hotel for a night and was quite impressed by the decor, food and services offered by them! Combination of a comfortable bed with great linen, spacious rooms and great range of morning breakfast served was a real great deal at that price! Very happy with the stay, surely will recommend friends and family! One more chain of hotels added to my favourite list!
Bathrooms should have been cleaner and fitted with modern amentities. Missing hair-dryer in double rooms and common area carpets should be maintained well.
The rooms and bar was nice
The price of beer was way ott
A pleasant and comfortable stay.
Service during breakfast was a little slow during peak time.
Village Hotels are very good indeed. Very comfy beds and good service generally with the feel of an up market budget hotel
This was the first time I had not stayed upper deck and for the small difference in price there was quite a drop in standard. Our room badly needed a refurb. There were drips all down the walls in several places and the trim on the mirror was peeling off. the window handles were very loose. The decor was depressing. Two of the walls were painted black and with a black lightshade and no overhead light it was really dingy. Also there was creaking all night and doors opening and closing which may just have been the positioning of the room but we did not get much sleep. Will definitely go upper deck next time. It was not worth £115. I wish we had been offered an upgrade, in retrospect I would have gladly paid the difference. When I looked online later it was only another £10. Why do the substandard rooms have to still be so expensive?
Location & Breakfast
Told upon arrival if we'd been another 10 min our room would of been given to someone else as they had over booked - Mould of the bathroom wall - panel hanging off in bathroom - faulty heating - Noisey Hotel

The breakfast was amazing. Plenty of optional extras like a pool.
The bed was a little hard. The w-fi signal was weak from our room. We were staying at the Village as we had an early start in Dudley. ~Unfortunately it was nearly impossible to get the required sleep as they put an event on and had music so loud that the bass was shaking our room on the 2nd floor. These type of events really should have had an alternate building as the way it was done showed a lack of respect for guests who hired a room to actually sleep in. This music continued until after 2:00 AM. The on site pub featured microwaved chips covered in processed cheese for £6.
Excellent helpful staff. Breakfast was gorgeous!
Room was a little tired needs painting and carpet cleaning
Location of hotel and the welcoming staff
Size of the room and bathroom
the starbucks on site
I didn't appreciate being woken up for 2 hours at midnight as there was a christmas party happening for B&Q and they located us on the first floor right above the smoking area. It was as if these drunken idiots were in the room with us as the windows were useless at blocking out any noise. I phoned reception but the noise remained. This was supposed to be a romantic break for me and my husband to recuperate as we have a toddler at home. When we handed the keys back in the morning the receptionist failed to ask how our stay was so I advised what an awful nights sleep we had..... she replied with everybody did. Apparently people were arrested for smashing the place up etc. The stay was a complete dissapointment.
Swimming pool excellent. Bed v comfortable. The Black Country museam almost nxt door is a must. Kids still talking about it now
We had room 138 and 140 just above the disco. The hotel had 2 weddings on that night n disco did not go off till 01:15. Advice u book rooms high up or get ear plugs
