Resteraunt food service and staff As a disabled person I rang beforehand to check if the hotel had a room, no obstacles to my disability, I was informed no and allocated a disabled room. On arrival by taxi I was taken outside walked a fair way around the outside of building into a disabled room .informed it was some way from a lift and dining room and conferance ROOM.My sister who was my assister complained at reception and eventually we were taken to another room. However told to make a quick decision as they could let it. I was seeing if I could step up into shower asked rece[ptioist to wait. Reluctantly she did.I Will be informing the disability firms who reccomend places for us.

The staff were helpful and polite. Food was excellent. Beds comfortable. Inadequate ventilation made the public rooms and bedroom especially very hot and airless making it difficult to relax, and at night well nigh impossible to sleep.

we have stayed at the village several times over the past few years and have always found the rooms clean and well equipped, however this time we found the bathroom grubby ie hairs in the bath on arrival and a stained toilet.our room should of been spacious with a seating area which appeared to be one chair in the corner.the room also seemed to be located over some form of generator or air conditioning unit which ran all through the night!!!

The location was brilliant the bar food menu was good for choice. The pool was lovely. The staff were disinterested when I said the bed was too hard not comfortable. The restaurant food was over priced and very limited choices. Not enough people working in the bar so waited 20 minutes to order.

Areas were dusty. Eg the phone was thick with dust. We did ask for a change of room, as the first one was too noisy with a fan outside.

Breakfast on x-mas and boxing days was in a different room from normal and completely lacked any atmosphere especially at that time of year, it was like a work's canteen

This is our 3rd stay at Nottingham Village. The Attenborough Nature Reserve is a big attraction, and the staff have always been very helpful & pleasant. We have eaten in the Verve before & found the food good. This time we came for Christmas Lunch which was well-organised & a very pleasant experience. The Village Nottingham is not far from Leicester where we live, makes us & our small dog very welcome, and we will be back.

I stay at this hotel many times per year, and I have been satisfied. However on this occasion the food in the restaurant was poor. The number of people dining were few, but catering for a Christmas party in addition to restaurant service may gave been too much.
