Friendly and helpful staff. The room was noisy because there was a squash court above it. I complained and the staff did their best to improve matters. However, this should not have occurred. In general the soundproofing was poor. |

The Rooms were clean & comfortable & the hotel had been modernised since my last stay in December 2007. Very short staffed, we waited a long time for our lunch & our breakfast. |

This is a nicely laid out hotel with nice furnishings. The main attraction to this hotel is how close it is to the motorway and to heaton park. The hotel took a pre authorisation, as do most hotels, however this money actually ledft my account therfore for a peiord of 2 days I was down by £160 x 2 (as I paid for 2 rooms); the pre authroisation and the actual payment when I left. |

good car parking and very near to motorway connections only three miles from the centre of Manchester Don't expected to relax in your room in the afternoon/ early evening in less you like the constant pitter-patter of squash balls. breakfast was just above the average. Hotel was OK for my one-night stay. |

I thought the location was great, the sports facilites are great and free to residents. The rooms are basic and tatty, be warned, the noise of the squash courts (6 of them) can be heard in your room up till 10pm, if you are a late bedder like me fine, if not........? |

The staff were helpful and accommodating on the whole. The rooms are a bit basic, and some are too near the squash courts. The heating went off at 10pm which made the room cold at night. The bed squeaked so loudly it woke me every time I turned over. The TV control in the first room I had didn't work. |

Good location close to motorway links, good fitness facilities and friendly staff. The rooms are tired and outdated its a real pity, the decor is scrappy and needs renewed. |

the hotel has many good points, these include the use of the gym and spa. Bar meals and drinks prices are reasonable. Location is good, only cost approx £6 in taxi to Manchester city centre. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable, could feel the springs of the mattress, made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. |

i liked the fact it had a bar and restaurant on site so you could get food and drink when ever you waanted it. we did not like the noise from the squash courts.you could hear the ball very clearly in the rooms.this did not stop until 10pm.so you could not sleep until it finished.that is unacceptable.for that reason i would not use it again.we did tell the reception of our complaint. |

The restaurant and bar are great and the location is good for my needs. The bedrooms are cold and need of refurbishment. Free WiFi is becoming a norm and freeview TVs are nice when you just went to relax after a hard days work - but sadly not available. |

Friendly staff, use of gym & facilities and ease of getting into Manchester on the buses. Heating in room was only barely adequate. Radiators only switched on for two hours am and pm. |

Lovely breakfast and very friendly staff. It was like two hotels - the cafe and lounge area had been nicely modernised so hopefully when the rooms are refurbished it will be a lovely hotel for the 21st century and not the 1980s. Althogh clean the room was badly in need of refurbishment with dated decor and unrepaired holes in walls and door. The room was too far hot and despite turning the heating down on arrival and it being 4 degrees below zero overnight, it never really cooled down.. The TV did not work properly and the extractor fan didn't work in bathroom. |
