Mercure Swindon South Marston Hotel and Spa  

Probably one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at (if you can get the prepaid rate) as long as you can find the hotel, find reception and find your room. The room was fantastic, big plenty of space, superb Queen size bed, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was self serve and excellent - breakfast staff very helpful. Didn't get a chance to use the leisure facilities but had a quick tour of them and they are excellent. An excellent hotel all round (especially if you get a good prepaid rate including breakfast. Would definitely stat again and for longer than one night - fantastic

You can't mark the actual hotel or facilities down, probably 10 out of 10. However it is a difficult hotel to find. Once you are in the car park it is very hard to work out where reception is and our room was located on the other side of the hotel via numerous corridors. Having said all that, I would take that room again.

No sign for reception, needs to be above the door in the main link corridor. Seal on shower door gone, large puddle in the bathroom. No hot chocolate or biscuits in the room.

Large pleasant room. Quiet location, near to, but out of, Swindon.

Absence of lift and of portering service. Maybe I need a smaller suitcase as I get older.

I was really impressed with the care that they showed me and the fact that the chef went out of his way to obtain gluten-free food - especially the sausages - for my breakfast! I will certainly recommend this hotel to other Coeliacs.

it was lovely and quite, the bed was very comfortable with lovely clean fresh linen. However, for a superior double I was surprised that there was no clock in the room, or biscuits to go with the Coffee/Tea

The entrance could do with being clearly labeled.The main entrance was closed and had to use a side door next to it that was open. This looked like a garage door with no indication as to what it was, turned out to be a fire exit door.The other entrance was for the gym, which I was informed could also be used for check in.

The hotel staff were friendly and efficient and the room was decorated to a good standard.

Good 23 metre swimming pool with easy access for arthritis sufferers. Food excellent.

The entrance area is a bit austere, and there are two quite steep steps from there to the rooms.

Clean well equipped rooms.Helpful staff

The leisure facilities, cinema, shopping, restaurants all near by.

They have stopped the biscuits with the tea and coffee. Also had to phone reception for milk and coffee as what not replenished.

Staff were friendly and willing to listen to any queries.

Looks dated externally I needed some cotton and thread and this wasn't even available at reception

The Hotels facilities were good though the price I felt was excessive.

There were a number of issues that I wont include here as I am hoping to resolve them with the Hotel personally though I may come back to you if these are not addressed.
