Staff were really helpful and friendly. Food at the grill and bar was amazing. Room was nice, comfortable and clean.
Didnt have a docking station, and after asking 3 times throughout my one night stay, was finally told when leaving, that they didnt have a spare. Also breakfast was not that nice, I refused to eat the cooked english as not very tasty.
Stayed at the hotel for my brother's wedding. From checking in, they couldn't have been more helpful - putting our corsages in a fridge, arranging to put a gift in hyena bride and groom's room. Rooms were comfortable We used the leisure facilities briefly and seemed good though busy.
Breakfast time was very busy, which they accommodate by having an ante-room with tea and coffee, fully explained at check-in. Simply adjust your timings if you're in a rush. Good selection of food and drink options.
Rooms were nice and spacious. Bed was excellent and room was well cleaned.
Early check-in was arranged via booking.com when I arrived they claimed its not guaranteed. What's the point of arranging in advance? Renovation at the time for the Gym Facilities
Leisure club, food at the bar was great, (chicken flat bread), nice breakfast, Friendly staff. Thanks!.....
Could have been a wee bit cheaper making it the clear choice to stay monthly...(business)
Availability of pool
Too hot, windows hardly opened Blinds once lifted couldn't be dropped Cafe sandwich awful Room very dark, light above bed very hot.
Room Restaurant Coffee shop
Bed (uncomfortable) Noise at night Kids beds were not done when we got to the room
Excellent Breakfast Very comfortable bed Good Gym Helpful staff Lots of National Trust Properties nearby convenient to Liverpool Good Restaurants in vacinity
WiFi poor in our room
The food and the staff was very good and the early bird menu excellent value for money
The bedroom finish is looking a little tired and certain areas were not cleaned vey well, corners especially, not what I would expect from a village hotel.
welcoming reception good size rooms good selection of food nice fitness and pool areas easy parking
Cleanliness of Toilets in rooms Resteraunt service slow
Pool area, bed, pillows, shower.
Bathroom smelt fusty, had to wait over half an hour for breakfast on the Sunday morning, also portions were rather small in the restaurant
The hotel as a whole was lovely, from the food to the leisure facilities, will definitely be going back
Staff very friendly evening meal good quality and price
room interior a bit dark could have done with more central light
Staff went out of their way to accomodate my needs. The associated fitness centre staff were also very happy to help out (one took me out on a run so I didn't get lost). It is easy access from the train station. All ameneties are at the hotel.
The room I had, while nicely specced, was a little dark. The single window did not provide much day light.
The receptionists were very helpful throughout our stay
The view from room 241
Room quiet & comfy - sufficient room for solo business traveller. Would have been squashed if a couple. Biscuits would also have been nice with tea/coffee facilities - surprised not included as most hotels in this range would provide in rooms. Leisure facilities seemed nice (please see comments re pool though) & liked range of eating / drinking spaces available within hotel ie. pub / bar / restaurant / grill & Starbucks.
Service in restaurant poor. Young girls in jeans & t-shirts?!! Does not fit with image of hotel. Was left at table for over 10mins whilst waitress went to check details of my voucher with Reception staff - not offered a drink or menu just left sat waiting! Finally ordered drinks which tool a further 10minutes to arrive & only after I had to ask!! I had to find a waitress to ask where drinks were - it was not that busy!! Basically sat on my own looking a fool for over 20mins with no drink. Menu was clearly a specific one for those of us on vouchers as choice was poor & nothing like main menu as displayed in hotel rooms.Food was quite good but again was brough my dessert with no spoon!! Had to wait 5mins for it to be brought! At breakfast on 2 nd morning - I was brought tea when I requested coffee. Then had to ask for a clean mug as I had poured tea in first one. Do I really need to spell everything out for the waiters?!! Then no teaspoon?!!! I stirred sugar into my coffee with handle of knofe as I could not be bothered to ask waiter/waitress again!! Booked De Vere Village as I am a regular swimmer & wanted a nice hotel with a decent size pool to exercise each evening. The pool looked lovely but was ridiculously warm! How can you expect folks to swim in a hot bath?! It was also difficult to find a time to swim & fit around evening meals when children were not in pool. Pool also had permanent wave effect - made it very choppy & hard work swimmimg! I am a good swimmer able to do 60+ lengths at home each day but your pool was too hot, top choppy & too busy. It is a spa pool not a swimmers pool.
The staff could not do enough for you.Well travelled, but exceptional staff and facilities.
restaurant food very good swimming pool room bed tv
not a thing would return anytime
location and decoration was different
food was poor value for money and the bar staff were disinterested and slow
Bar very under staffed yesterday
Very slow service in verve
