I thought the hotel room was very clean, bed was comfy. I thought the hotel had a nice relaxed atmosphere, enjoyed are meal and breakfast and also enjoyed the spa facilities. Had a enjoyable + relaxing time at the village and will be staying there again. Only that there was no toothpaste in bathroom!

Clean and comfortable. had a band on on a saturday night so that was good. Apart from the gym's totally unnecessarily loud music at 10am on a Sunday morning it's a premer inn style place.... with a gym and pool .... and early morning banging music. Would suit early birds Not badly priced. Kind of in the middle of nowhere - close to a retail park. more a business hotel I'd say. Have a good leisure complex including pool but we were woken up at 10am on a Sunday morning by bangin hardcore hi energy workout music at full pelt. We had partied hard the night before so were not amused. Complained to reception who said that some gym instructors turned the music up really high and if we had complained they would have turned it down. Great. We were thinking of staying for the Sunday night too but seriously... chill out Sunday was not happening. If you're an early bird I'm sure it won't bother you but it totally ruined our stay and obviously their gym memberships mean more to them than their hotel customers.

The bed was comfortable and I had a good night sleep I was pretty shocked when upon arrival, I realised that the hotel was located on an industrial estate. The place looks odd from the outside and the picture on booking.com is very flattering. The lobby smelled of chlorine from the swimming pool in the basement and things didn't improve much from there. My room door was damaged and the entire place looks outdated. We decided to head out for dinner since the on-site locations looked unappealing. Breakfast next day was basic and we were happy to leave the place. We won't be back again unless we have to.

It was a good location for where we needed to be. We didnt take advatange of the facilities but they looked good and if I stayed again I would take advantage of this. The food in pub/bar in the hotel was terrible - this really provided us with negative expereince. Having ordered a simple dish (eggs, chips and ham) I was surprised that the chips and eggs were not fully cooked. For a hotel of this standard, I would expect basic standards to be met.

Very clean and tidy, helpful staff, lots of parking. Our rooms - 138 - was noisy due to being next to air con unit or similar. Difficult to sleep. Would ask not to have that room on next visit!

Friendly staff, airy rooms plenty of parking. Main restaurant themed and to be honest quite naff!! Also wait for breakfast table was too long, however that was due to staff shortages and a very busy period. All in all an average stay at an average hotel. Too busy at breakfast therefore had to wait quite a while. Themed restaurant is tacky and horrible. Bar tables not cleared.

Staff were really helpful, polite and cheerful, facilities great, especially considering the price was good. Room was bright and clean, The margarita from the restaurant/bar was made from a syrup mix and not very nice! Everything else great.

Great hotel lovely staff. When we got there booking.com had only booked one room instead of 2 but the staff were great and though fully booked found us a room.

Good location on the Wirral. Bit of an impersonal place. Avoid the sudo Italian/American Restaurant experience. Neither good Italian nor American. Just about the worst food experience this year for me. Quantity rules over quality and when I complained and made that comment I was told, ‘that’s the idea’. So a hotel and restaurant that openly declares they are not about quality is to be avoided.

Nice room. Very clean. Good restaurant in hotel. Starbucks in hotel. Room was a long walk from reception. Could hear people talking in hall as if they were in the room. Early check-in was not available as promised on web-site and over the phone.

Room and breakfast were good. Only one toilet on ground floor for guests attending function on basement level. The prices you charge for the alcohol was very extortionate. Could not recomend holding any more functions at this hotel.

We liked the fact that the pub was inside the hotel and had TVs to watch football games, and that the cocktails were cheap. We were in room 112 and on both Saturday and Sunday morning around 9:30am starts the gym class in the gym which is apparently situated right below the room and we were woken up by the techno music and instructions from the trainer. Also in the afternoon, we could hear people playing squash or some sort of ball game, which was quite annoying as we wanted a nap to recover from a late night at a wedding. Finally at night, we heard noises from the room next door... the least we can say is that the hotel needs soundproofing! I would in any case always ask to be on the 2nd floor if I go back.

The staff in every part of the Hotel, reception, restaurant and spa, that we used were excellent. They were friendly and efficient but most of all seemed genuinely happy to have us there as guests which made the weekend even more enjoyable. The restaurant was one of the best that we have used in a North West hotel with good food and staff that ensured you had everything you required. This was our first visit and we were most impressed. Nothing it is an exceptionally good hotel.

Staff are friendly and helpful. I did not like the Italian style restaurant. Too many pasta type dishes with high profit margin contents.

“Location (lovely, characteristic village on 10 mins walk with a lovely family-run pub 'the seven stars' with wood fire!), the TV in the bathroom with a giant tub for two :-), breakfast was great so were the welness facilities. There is a bubble bath outside, pretty spectacular set next to the fields, church bells... We took the superior room (no 10), with robes and all. £95 was great value for money on Boxing day night.” Irene, Viuz En Sallaz |

“Gorgeous hotel, beautifully decorated and very clean. Very spacious accomodation, much more than we expected for the price you pay. Breakfast was lovely and again good value for money. The staff were very friendly and attentive yet didn't make us feel obliged to have dinner in the hotel restaurant they were very helpful to let us know how to get into Chester; however next time we stay we will eat in the hotel restaurant as we expect the food will be as impressive as everything else. A very short and easy drive from Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet. We stayed in the 'Boudoir' and would request this room on our next stay as it was gorgeous.” Danielle, Birmingham |
