Good all round hotel
Central location, good breakfast, comfortable rooms. Difficult to find anything to argue with
Comfortable beds. Good sized room and excellent breakfast. Dinner was also worth having in the hotel good food and nicely presented.
The food was excellent and the bed very comfortable. Staff in the restaurant were efficient and friendly.
Everything except MENU.
SAME MENUE EVERY NIGHT. Nice food but not enough choice for evening meals.
very friendly staff , right from reception.
Great accommodation, food and staff!!!
From the warm welcome on arrival to the excellent breakfast, the Hotel provided all the essential elements required for our one night stop-over. We met with friends so the convenience of a spacious lounge together with a good restaurant were particular requirements. Dinner was also superb.
Restaurant food and staff were amazing. Evening meal and breakfast of a very high standard
Room ( 114 )expensive at £162 for the night for what it was No air conditioning Window seat tatty, torn and dirty No bathrobes Bathroom, flaking paint on ceiling, Towel rail and loo paper holder had been moved but previous holes / paint not re decorated
My wife and I were extremely pleased with the way we were treated by all the staff who were always cheerful, pleasant and extremely efficient. We considered the food was well presented, and value for money. We were a third line recommendation from friends and have no hesitation in creating a fourth.
Nothing comes to mind.
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, room was large and provided everything needed, fridge was appreciated.
I requested a specific room and they gave me one very similar we thought the room was too hot and then saw there was a desk fan We able to eat our Prezzo takeaway in our room Spacious room and bathroom really comfy beds and chairs Breakfast in room FOC Nice lighting feature in the wardrobe good lighting features for the room - lamps, wall lighting, pelmet lighting FOC tea and coffee with biscuits
If I was being really picky the TV did not swivel so you could watch it in bed but not on the chairs
complimentary water, tea, beautiful room design , lighting
No air conditioning. Jus heater.
Great location in the heart of the town and with very friendly staff. I asked for a room at the top of the hotel and got it, and there was a fan in the room which was very useful when it got hot.
Breakfast bit disappointing and definitely not 4 star. No fresh fruit (e.g. strawberries, melon etc.) except a fruit bowl with some tired looking grapes and apples in it. Cooked meal okay but not enough choice of cereals or milk. A few pain au chocolat but no croissants or pastries. Only 3 star breakfast.
Cold shower Breakfast were overcooked No facecloths in the room.
The room standards were excellent and food was great.
Staff were very friendly, lovely big bedroom and bathroom. Food was excellent in the restaurant and the cooked breakfast was second to none.
Breakfast was wonderful, room clean better than a lot of accomodation in surrounding area
friendliness of front of house staff, rustic design and look to public areas. Good selection for breakfast and variety of guest ales.
room cleanliness poor, particularly bathroom where the inadequate rail with shower curtain was actually broken, My request for amended check-in/out was not replied to. overall disappointed in Villiers as hotel and facilities were all looking tired and rundown, certainly not the rustic, homely loved feel that a bit of cleaning and reorganisation could provide. rustic does not mean ripped furniture and broken cheap plastic fittings in the rooms! Undoubtedly worst of all was, though was the fact that chef refused to do the " moules and frites "deal advertised, despite the fact we had paid for this along with 4 lunches and drinks and were only told 5 minutes before food arrived!!! we were told lunch menu was only available until 230pm, but ordering around 245 why do u advertise the moules separately in the bar if u cannot order,...(why not do lunch menu until 3,4 or 5pm. As we had to sit watch a family tuck into their moules whilst we went without... very poor guest focus!.) .....we only actually ordered later as member of the party was stuck in traffic and late arriving! This is not what your paying guests deserve, after a long journey to arrive, especially not when spending more the cost of 2 rooms in your restaurant or bar! To compound his we were then told that the chef "can be stroppy like this" ,...was it the same chef who cooked the hard poached eggs I had the next morning @ breakfast? Major training issues to be addressed there, by the sounds of it...otherwise AA rosettes mean nothing,. As a regular hotel guest through business and leisure I am disgusted by this from a brand as we'll known.....please pass this feedback forward in the form of a complaint, as I would prefer to know that the correct person has received this as I am requesting THEIR FEEDBACK. Many Thanks. Stuart
Very clean. Efficient staff. Good location.
Breakfast was good and the room was a good size, big bath too!
friendly efficient staff
The staff are very friendly and very happy to help. Breakfast is very good (although it could go a little later - stops at 9:30). Big, clean bathrooms with heated towels rails and beds are comfy. Also have a small fridge in the room that is empty so you can put your own things in. Location is great - Buckingham is a lovely town and all amenities (bank, pharmacy, grocery store) are all minutes away.
It is a bit tired looking and the internet is frustrating - you need a new code for each device every 24 hours which can only be used once so if you get dropped in the middle of doing something (which always happens and I have never had a code last the full 24 hours) you have to go down to the front desk to get another one.
