The apartment was very central for everything we wanted and had nice balcony areas.
Arriving in London and being told the apartment we had booked wasn't available and that we would be staying somewhere else. The apartment was ok, but a little small compared to the one we had booked. The fact that you felt like you were staying in someone's home was also a little weird. Cleanliness could have been better overall and furnishing was drab.
The flat was lovely and warm.
Went to have a shower and the hose came off had to mend before we could shower. The plug in the basin didn't work, the tv in the lounge wasn't tuned. Only two pillows per bed there was more in the cupboard but no cases.there was black mould round the bath, and I think what we paid was a lot with these things wrong. Also the carpet on the stairs was very dirty also some of the window blinds where broken.
Very comfortable, fair sized rooms. Very quiet considering the amazing location, just by Charing Cross Station on New Years Eve. Easy transactions.
Fourth floor, so steep stairs. Didn't worry us but may be a problem for less able.
The central location was walking distance to everything, the central heating worked very well
The beds were uncomfortable, Villiers st was very noisy and busy, no lift was a little annoying would be extremely hard for elderly, Accom was quite expensive compared to suburban London you have to be willing to pay for the location.
Central location Enough space
Very noisy street with clubs just outside windows (that close at 5 am) No Wifi access Apartment was not very clean Management not willing to allow we leave our luggage when arriving to London, yet office closes at 6pm
Ended up in Baker Street..nice area but needed tubes
Beds - hard/cheap/uncomfortable Sofas - ditto! Barely furnished - not a cushion in site. Would compare to basic student accommodation No Wifi (try that with 3 teenagers!)
Location was good on Baker street
We were charged for late booking whereas we arrived in the hours given by booking.com The bathroom was gloomy, my kids refused to take a bath there The beds were dirty The price was crazy A complete disaster
Semen stained bedding. Filthy flat. No Internet. Being ripped off. The list goes on.
- Great location - Fancy area - Close to Everything - Good SMS Contact with staff - Nice bathrooms - Elevator - Silent even though so central
- No sheets and duvet covers that you know for sure are fresh and Clean. - A bit frayed flat, regarding wall- paper and so on.. - No free WiFi - Really low water pressure in one of the bathrooms. Hardly showerable... :) - Short on glasses
Never was told the truth Not cleaned Loud temp control unit
Location was excellent right between 2 tube stops, plenty of shops, stores, restaurants, etc in the area.
Extremely busy and loud, pubs and bars right below the apartment window making it very difficult to sleep. Sheets were dirty, no sheets on one of the beds, bathroom not cleaned.
Location was Centre Point House, St Giles St, just off Oxford St/Tottenham Court Rd.
Like the other reviews, changed location last minute due to electrical problems. They texted the address, problem was left out the main name Centre Point House so when we got to the location we could not see the number and the building was boarded up. Was ring and ringing the contact but took him a while to answer, we were in a hurry as had a show to get too but luckily it was around the corner in Shaftesbury Avenue. The apartment was ok for 1 night. Everything seems worn and needed a bit of TLC & maintenance, it did feel like someone's apartment. No toilet paper. Need ear plugs as sirens all night. One of the bed sunk in the middle.
New apartment was ok. Still workmen present when we arrived. Good location, albeit not where we thought we were going to be.
Very noisy. No wifi. The uncertainty of being moved at the last minute. Checked other reviews- seems this is quite a frequent occurrence.
Very dirty Air con did not work and apartment stuffy Filters on air on disgusting Legionella risk high
Nothing, all in all bad experience. See below please.
Very rude staff called Alex. We paid 670 pounds for two night's. Alex called on the phone when we we were in our way from the airport to say the appartment has heating problem and offered what he described (better and more expensive option). My frfiends do not speak English and had no idea where to gp except to accept the alternative appartment. When arrived there, the flat was dirty, small and in very poor condition. I tried to ring that Alex to refund our booking but did not answer my frequent calls. We had no option except to stay in this poor flat for two days. At 10:00 am of the checking out day we came back from outside to find the cleaners inside our bedrooms and that Alex ringing asking us to leave in 10 minutes, I asked to give us a couple of hours but he threatened to charge 150 pounds. We did not agree to pay 150 pounds and left the flat sorry for the loss of our money on this awful flat and bad experience. This experience did not finish there because I received email from Alex saying that I was fined 150 pounds because a bud of cigarette was found in the flat. I replied that no body had smoked inside the flat. I took the whole issue to Booking.com to resolve.
The apartment was changed from the Villiers33 to another apartment, where we can 'self' check in as flight was due later than expected. The newly allocated apartment was in London Mayfair, which is a great location. In fact, Location, was the only thing which was good about the apartment.
The apartment was filthy, and very untidy. Some of the bedding was stained in blood from previous occupiers. The main bedroom carpet was very badly stained and the bed had cigarette burns and stain. The wardrobe in the hall was incredibly precariously standing at a tilt and not at all secured to the wall. One of our children was almost injured badly, as the wardrobe fell on top of him had it, as he tried to open it. The main bathroom toilet flush was broken and constantly leaking noisily into the toilet. I have recently contacted the agents, with photos, to as for partial refund, but never heard back.
Your customer care
The location was great and lots of shops and restaurants outside. 10min walk to Covent garden, less than five minutes to Trafalgar Sqaure.
No toaster and the towels smelt funky!
Location was excellent.
Deliberate non disclosure of known problems. When I contacted the apartment manager to say the air conditioning and washing machine were not working he got angry and told me they already knew that was the case and that we were lucky everything else was working. Would not have booked it if I had known the advertised washing machine was not working.
Location 2 mins walk to trafalgar sq. Charing cross station etc...
Booking says 33 but it is 23 villiers st Unfortunately power problems in building. Services like washing machine. Lights & aircon/heater not working. When ur traveling & paying this sort of $ u expect things to work. Owners should take flat off booking to get everything in order not great having service people unexpected in your apartment. Blinds not darken out light enough. Place needs a face lift. Next door to pub prince of wales. For people who are light sleepers it is very noisey thorough fair in villiers st Thought it would be cheaper booking a hotel than stay at this apartment. :(
Second bedroom, which was not used after all, was not even set up as a bedroom. Furnishings overall mediocre at best. Dirty entrance. In short, never again. I am very surprised that Booking.com offers this type of place. Do you ever visit the hotels/apartments that are listed on your site?
Four hours before arrival the landlort called me and told me that we could not stay in Villiers 33 and that we should stay in an other Apartment near Bond Street. This Apartment was much smaller, no lights in one of the rooms, not cleaned weel enough, no Water coming out of the shower - I could continue... A VERY BAD experience.
We had a call as we approached London to say the Villiers 33 was not available due to a flood so we had to change to different apartment. When I mentioned Covent Garden he said he had one there of the same standard, 3 bed etc. The location was actually perfect for us but...
The accommodation was shabby, no pictures (although there were hooks), peeling towel rail, stabled panel walls to create weird bedrooms. One had no windows but actually that was better as blinds in others blocked no light. Alex pointed out the DVDs and playstation but in the end we couldn't use them as there were no batteries in the remote. Kitchen was alright and it did the job for 1 night, but not good value for money and a disappointment. Check out at 9, asked for 10, but that still felt like a rush. Has anyone else been moved to another sub-standard place with these guys?
Great location, hand over of keys and communicating with apartment was really good and they were very helpful!! Great value for money, I would recommend this apartment.
Slightly unclean, bedding had a musty smell and concerned that television could have fallen off stand quite easily !!
