Good welcome and fine as far as overnight stop goes. Rooms to good standard. Shower excellent.
Overpriced and exterior needs repaint. Bed uncomfortable and breakfast lukewarm
Good location. Seemingly genuinely friendly and helpful staff.
nice quiet back street but close to town centre.I asked for a quiet room and I got one!. Room facilites very good, water, tea and coffee and biscuits, excellent shower. Lovely breakfast
Nothing to complain about, everything was great. maybe breakfast should be an optional extra, not everyone wants it but it is already included in the price
room size and bed general appearance level of noise
Fairly close to station. Clean
no 24hr reception. We had to wait two hours to check in so we would have our room for later that night.
Staff very friendly & helpful
The breakfast. Very pink bacon Very cheap "thin" bread
Location, handy being in centre of town. The Vines could be so much better as the Hotel is in a fantastic position.
Room/bathroom looked clean but under closer scrutiny it was a bit drab and not very clean. Windows did not open and was extremely hot during the night. Duvet had had stains on it.
Old Fashioned charm. Reasonable facilities. Very convenient to Town Centre
Menu was good, cooking awful. All overdone (4meals). No lift
Very good location, close to main shopping areas ideal for wandering and other restaurants if you wanted something to do
Friendly staff, close to all amenities, great value for money with lovely breakfast and would definitely stay there again.
The coffee served with breakfast was not the best.
Nice quirky bar areas
Most uncomfortable bed ever. Creaky floor. Dirty bathroom with door which had to be shoved to close.
Room far too hot, had to keep bedroom door open all night. Couldn't sleep due to permanently running cistern, we reported this before we went out Saturday evening but when we got back it was still the same and there were no other rooms available so we couldn't move.
Location and style of property (olde worlde)
Bathroom slightly cramped
Staff really friendly and obliging Good location, on-site car park with public overflow car park on next street. It's a pub with rooms above it, so it's not the Savoy - but it's good value and was ideal for our needs.
Breakfast finished at 9am, which is a bit early.
gave us a unprepared room on arrival with dirty bedding
Staff and location
Bathroom was run down. Noise from unit by kitchen carried on all night
Nothing at all
The room booking was for two adults when we arrived and it was booked for two adults and two children and the room was very hot even with the window open no air con
The location was perfect for me, chairing interviews the next day at a site within easy walking distance.
The bed was very squeaky. The noise woke me up every time I turned over. The bed was uncomfortable. Took a long time to get to sleep with noise of extraction system outside. Had to have window closed on a very hot night. The room very small and expensive for the facilities provided.
City centre location with parking and a fair price
Location in town centre.
Steep stairs to room and rooms a bit tired could do with refreshing.
Staff excellent Price for food great value Good choice of beers
Facilities for families limited
Building featuring beautiful oak beams in breakfast area. Staff were friendly. Location was great, and parking very good.
One of our rooms was very hot
