From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome and comfortable. The staff were superb in all areas of the hotel. The olde worlde style of the hotel was enchanting and kept in keeping with it's era.a special mention goes to the chef, the food was amazing. We only stayed for one night but have already have decided that our next visit will be for longer. No real complaints but perhaps a little freshen up of carpets, decor in rooms would be nice.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Vine Hotel, everything positive with great staff and facilities, how anyone could fault this establishment for the money is beyond me. Breakfast was beautifully prepared and tasted even better. Superb and quick internet service. Well done those great people at the Vine Hotel Skegness, If I am staying in Skegness again I'll be staying with you ! No comments for this box as all was great.

It is old fashioned but comfortable and has its own style and not just the corporate style of other hotels.

Impressive building. Staff very helpful. Had a relaxing stay. Our room was over the bar area, so did not get a good night's sleep. People stayed outside smoking 'til late.

The staff were very friendly and the surroundings were good especially as I took a dog! Food excellent, atmosphere great! Had a fan in my room which was handy as the weather was hot! Car parking right on site! I was on the second floor and the winding narrow stairs were very hazardous especially with a suitcase! I had no mirror in the bathroom and the television left a lot to be desired. Only one channel available. I am sure if I had complained it could all have been sorted, but I was in the room only to sleep. Just needs a bit of sprucing up!

Staff were courteous especially Maggie the receptionist who was very friendly and helpful to my questions about the area.Room was clean, comfortable and quiet which was ideal for visit. Food was good and reasonably priced with Breakfast excellent. Perhaps an eariler breakfast time could be made available to early business people.

Reasonably priced restaurant and bar meals. And bars felt like proper bars and not hotel lounges! Just a minor point, but the table for three at breakfast was too small.

It provides reasonably priced, good quality accommodation at a convenient location for the event I was attending. The shower control in my room was defective, but this was not a major problem.

The setting is nice and quiet because it is on the outskirts of Skegness town which is a bonus if, like us, you don't like the place. It is near the sea and some nice walks. Plenty of old features of the old building remain which is nice. The food is good and plentiful. The staff are polite and pleasant and not in your face. This is our second time there and we would use it again because it is value for money. The room was too hot and there was no ventilation. The sash windows had blocks inserted in them so that you could only open the windows about six inches. There was a fan in the room but it was too noisy to use at night. The bathroom window could have done with a blind or curtain. Decor of the whole hotel could do with an up-date and the stair carpets need replacing urgently before someone trips on them.

The breakfast on both mornings we stayed was excellent. Attentaive service and lots of choice. The bed matress was in a poor state and needed replacing. This affected our sleep on the first night and we took some time to settle. We also felt that the hotel didn't make enough of its 18th Century features. When you walk through the front door you meet a tack notice board with a pub menu pinned to it and the entrance felt cluttered.

“The staff at the Royal were welcoming and friendly. The Royal ticked all the boxes for myself and my family.
