Everything about Virginia Cottage is excellent value for money, from the complimentary glass of wine and chocolates on arrival to the cakes and drinks in the lounge. First class breakfasts and service from friendly staff. All in all very enjoyable. Only thing I would ask they change would be a top sheet on the beds they only have a bottom sheet and duvet. |

It had an excellent location. The reaction of the staff when my wife had allergies. They treated us like we were the ones with the issue. They didn't apply the basic rule of the customer is always right. |

The staff were friendly, nothing a problem, we were greeted with a glass of wine. The room itself was clean, toasty warm and no noise even though we overlooked the pub next door. |

The location of the hotel was ideal for visiting the lakes & surrounding area. The bathroom & toilet facilities were cramped. For safety we would recomend a non slip mat in the shower to avoid slipping when showering. |

We chose this hotel as we really wanted to go to the lakes for a couple of days, and this was a good price, reviews were good, and the rooms looked so individual. Our welcome was warm, the room - although not one of the ones shown on the website - was clean, tidy, and comfortable. We thought it could possibly do with a lick of paint & a new bathroom suite, but everything else was good. The breakfast was really lovely - the staff couldn't do enough for us. We were lucky enough to be allocated a table in the window, so we could look out whilst eating. Would reconmmend this hotel, and would stay again. As above, the room we stayed in could benefit from a tiny bit of attention, but nothing major, so nothing bad to report really. Ooh, except the bathroom door didn't shut - it had to be propped closed, but such a small issue I forgot til now! |

The people are friendly, make you welcome and the price for bed and breakfast is very good. We had been before with our dog (now dead) and specifically picked it again because we liked it from ur first visit. |

The staff were friendly and helpful from the very start and I felt that they would try and do anything that you asked from them. The rooms were cosy, the bathroom had a jacuzzi bath and the breakfasts were delicious with very healthy portions that set you up for the day. I would stay here again without hesitation. |

fantastic hotel very clean the room was of a high standard excellent value for money friendly helpfull staff would cetainly stay here again loved the complimentry glass of wine and fantastic breakfast the only bad thing is breakfast is only served between 8.45 till 9.15 which is not very long and if you want an early start you miss breakfast and every one seems to arrive in the dinning room together it would be better if they extended the time even if it was only by 15 mins from 8.30 to 9.15 |

Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and and nice cooked breakfast in the morning. There did not seem to be anyone around for long lengths of time at reception but in all fairness the staff did leave a contact number if you needed them for anything |

We were there just for the night as we had an interview in the surrounding area. Arrived approx 7pm, were greeted by the manager and given a glass ofwine on arrival. which was a pleasant surprise The breakfast was cheap quality and should have been longer in time. It was only from 8.45 til 9.15 |

Amazing!!! Staff, breakfast and welcome. Has DVDs to borrow, and a lush cinema room. Hydro shower and comfortable beds. A big deffo for me again. Also it's pet friendly so next time we can bring our dog. Although the pets do have to be very well behaved |

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. From the start we were warmly welcomed by friendly staff with free glass of wine. Rooms were unique with four poster bed & spa bath. Plenty of character. Hotel is positioned 2 minutes from town centre. Use of partner health club was brill. Breakfast was lovely. Would return again in the future. |
