The main thing to like about the hotel is location. The bathroom facilities are a bit non traditional which is quite a bit irritating. The sink is in the middle of the room. The base of the sink bowl(which is square by the way) is very low and the water doesnt drain as fast as it should. So you end up with a sink full of dirty water in the middle of your room which takes its time to drain.

The staff were amazing - always had big smiles on there faces and couldn't do enough for you. The restaurant (Spice Market) was exceptional - dined there 3 times in 3 days - highly recommend the sangria - yum!

Excellent, helpful and attentive service. Great facilities, excellently designed and fantastic food in the Spice Market. Having to pay for WiFi in the room. The rooms are fairly pricey so charging for this as an extra seems a bit mean.

The rooms and the overall decor of the hotel were excellent, rooms, very comfortable and loved the design We went to the bar twice on our visit, the first time we waited with menus for 15 minutes without getting served, whilst others were served around us, so we left and went elsewhere. The second visit, we again waited for round 15 minutes without anyone serving us, again we got up and went elsewhere. With regards to this being a 5 star I would have expected better service, the bars weren't even busy, this really let the hotel down and would question before using the w group again. After all there's so many fine hotels around.

Great hotel, very trendy, nicely designed and comfortable. really slow check in and quite patronising as I know how a hotel room works - how to open a door, etc.. check on tone at this interface with the customer

My stay at the W London was great. The room was spicy enough and the bed heavenly. The design was very modern and you have to like it, I did. Many young people in the hotel, a lively bar with during the evening many beautiful people. I can recommend the W London to everyone that doesn't wanna be bored when staying at the hotel. The only disappointing thing was that on Saturday breakfast is served from 8am. Having an early flight that was not a nice thing to learn at the last moment.

Central London location and excellent hotel staff who know the area and know what travelers need. Well-designed rooms that make great use of space.

The hotel is extremely interesting. The whole design down to the last detail is just perfect. I must say that I forgotten a few items in my room and I got them all back. God bless them for that! Apart from the management and a few others which are smart&intelligent most of the stuff is not trained to listen very well. Very beautiful stuff but not good in listening and taking orders It is a new hotel. They will learn. But definitely worth the money.

Having stayed at The w Times Square in nyc previously I was expecting The w Leicester Square to be impressive and cool. And having stayed at The St Martins Lane and Sanderson hotel amongst other 5 star luxury hotels in London, I knew it would be good... But nothing prepared me for quite how impressive and stylish the w woudl be! The staff were incredibly friendly, efficient, helpful and went out of their way to make our stay perfect. We booked 5 rooms for our family birthday and we all had an amazing time. The rooms, bar, restaurant and lounge areas are simply stunning.. Classy, quirky, stylish and uber chic.. I'd definitely add The w to my top 10 hotels to stay in... And we'll certainly be back!

Location. Bar. Room shower. No kettle. Repeated inability of staff to understand request for 'milk for tea'. Mistakes on bill. Room design. Useless chair under tv facing wrong way! Insufficient and badly located plug sockets! Insufficient storage space (room 715). Profiteering on breakfast supplied by Spice Market. Overpriced with more emphasis on impractical design than actual useful purpose.

Design Rooms are tiny with no bathroom(!), just a sink in the middle of the room and two cubicles (shower, toilet)...not exactly what you'd expect when paying £500 a night! It's also noisy - you can hear music beating from the hotel club until the early hours..By far the worst thing about the hotel though is the fact that because the trendy bar/club attracts many non-hotel residents, you are treated by door staff (who look and behave more like bouncers than anything else) like an intruder and often have to "prove" you're staying at the hotel by producing your key card! I've stayed in w hotels before with trendy bars (like Istanbul) but there was no hostile door policy! They really need to think of an alternative solution! The icing on the cake was that on one of the three nights all hotel common areas were out of bounds because of a private party and on another night we were refused entry to the hotel club as we were "not on the guest list"! Not a five star hotel by any stretch of the imagination, feels more like a giant bar/club!

The bed was so comfortable and the rooms were stylist and very chic. The mini bar was excellent and the spa treatments available sounded great also we did not have any. The little extras provided to spice up your love lift were an added touch.

The noise at night that filters into the rooms (even on the 4th floor!) is something I'd have preferred to do without. They also don't reserve X amount of seats at Spice Market for hotel guests, which is frustrating.

We went to the O2 to see Peter Kay and we lunched at Le Gavroche. We did all the touristy things and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in London. As I said above, the public area is small; everything is very over priced and I am not mean by any standards. The hotel is unusual and novel. I have been to W in New York and think it better as it has much larger public areas and seems more in keeping with NY as a city.
