Staff we're very welcoming and helpful. Nice rooms but very small
Great staff who showed a real interest in our travel plans and offered early breakfast. Wifi struggled a bit in the room but ok outside and in bar - room more than compensated for this though! Great food
food, service, location
no phone in room no clear means of contacting help in the event of emergency in the night
Everything. Attention to detail in both the rooms and bar is obvious. Good location overlooking the river and fairly quiet. The people who work there were great and the breakfasts were unmissable.
The genuine welcome by all the staff. Nothing seemed too much trouble throughout our stay. Even a helping hand across the road on departure because of handicap. A truly memorable holiday. Excellent value for the money.
Can't think of anything
This is a lovely characterful place to stay, on the river Lune and right next to the Maritime Museum. Easy to walk into town. Our arrival was delayed by an incident on the M6 but the staff couldn't have been more kind and understanding.
food spot on
the Friday band, an acquired taste
Lovely rooms, clean, coffee/tea facilities, free wifi. Great breakfast and dining menu. Parking available.
Everything. Large bright clean room. Excellent meals. Good bar with top beers. Super hospitable staff. Even caters for disabled. (Suited us to have an elevator for our luggage.) Absolute revelation and RECOMMENDED.
modernized room, well equipped, attentive and helpful staff, nice atmosphere, very good choice for breakfast, close to the center (short walking distance), quiet
room was rather small, so maybe not ideal for a longer stay.
Everything - very friendly and helpful staff. We ate in-house for our meals due to weather and all meals were excellent.
very friendly and helpful staff
good location, everything you need for a short stay.
mostly very clean except for mouldy shower stall.
Hand pulled beer Nice views Spotless Rooms Warm welcome
Very small room Average bar meal
Lovely staff, welcoming and friendly. Owner went out of her way to accommodate our son. Great breakfast. Clean and tidy rooms with everything you need for a short stay.
having been once before, we were immediately recognised and were really made to feel welcome back.
Friendly staff, well-finished room, excellent breakfast, relatively short walk from the station.
Staff were very friendly, remembered who we were and took the time to talk and ask how our stay went. Room was small, but very comfortable and well-laid out so that wasn't a problem
No concerns at all, really - the location seemed good, but as we were only there for one night for a wedding we didn't really explore
The food and drink
The small shower
my partner was wheelchair bound and from entering the hotel until we had to leave to continue our journey we were treated with the greatest of kindness and respect from a very lovely girl who did everything in the hotel from serving bar to waiting tables and serving a cracking breakfast bless her, and made us feel very special.
Wonderful, but too-brief, overnight stay. The building was charming. The staff friendly and helpful. We had our own "wing" in the inn; a short hallway with just our two rooms. Parking was 40 ft away. Rooms were spotless, and comfy. The shower was the best we had while staying in seven different places over three weeks in the UK! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and breakfast as well. All in all, a gem of a place.
hmm.....still trying to think of something.
Friendly welcome Nothing too much trouble Fabulous food
Room was small
location good, staff good, breakfast very good.
very small room, small shower could hardly fit in it and we are not big so I don't know how you would get in if you was, Wi-Fi wouldn't connect in the room but would in the bar area, curtains wouldn't shut properly too heavy for such small window so left a gap in the middle, which let light in, food not very good ie ( evening meal ) breakfast was very good
The staff are very friendly and helpful, suggesting places to visit and giving directions if needed. Many places of interest are within walking distance of the hotel. The food served is of good quality and delicious.
