Well situated on the edge of the northern lakes and within reach of the Cumbrian coast. Large bedroom. Lots of options at breakfast. Fine and peaceful surrounding countryside.

Gorgeous rooms and farmhouse interior. Huge family bathroom and thick towels. Excellent breakfast. Picturesque location. Friendly, helpful hosts. Lovely lounge area (although the bedrooms were spacious so we didn't use it). Lawn area to front (the owners kindly put out table and chairs for us to enjoy the sun).

When booking, I didn't realise the family room was in fact two separate bedrooms and a separate bathroom. This wasn't actually a problem as the smaller room had been changed to a room with bunk beds and there was a double and a single in the larger room, giving lots of options if you preferred not to have the children sleep without an adult. Tricky to find. Don't use the postcode with your sat nav as it will take you to a different farm higher up the hill!

Really can't rate this B & B highly enough, like home from home. Spotlessly clean, good internet access, first class toiletries and fantastic breakfast , Janet and John were so helpful 100/ 10 , will certainly recommend.

Everything was great, particularly the breakfast, which was the best we have had since our honeymoon 33 years ago.

The owners were a lovely couple, lovely and clean, comfortable bed, everything you needed, and to top it off the breakfast was amazing. Loved the fact that the eggs you had for breakfast were collected that morning from their collection of giant chickens. When we arrived we were greeted with homemade scones in our room lovely touch. We would definitely go back again!

I wouldn't say we didn't like this but there was no pub/restaurant within walking distance, nearest pub was 3/4 miles away which meant travelling there by car but certainly didn't spoil our stay.

Beautiful real old farmhouse with lots of character, but also has all modern facilities. Very friendly welcoming owners. Large old style bedroom with a good sized, well appointed modern en-suite. Lovely guest lounge with real log fire. Excellent home made english breakfast. Good open countryside location. Plenty of parking and good wifi.

We could only stay one night.

Beautiful accommodation, great spot to explore the area with a charming little town down the road (5 min driving). Our every need was catered for and more, the thoughtful and helpful hostess was very friendly. Breakfast was one of the best we have experienced on our 8 month holiday. Enjoyed watching the chooks whilst eating breakfast.
