Room was very warm and cosy, breakfast was awsome and plentiful and there was more if you wanted it. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Signs of dampness in the bathroom could have been painted out
Staff are very friendly and accommodating , food was lovely , even got a pepper sauce done that wasn't on the menu, the omlettes for breakfast are delicious
No tv in sitting room / bar area
Staff were very welcoming and friendly and the quality of the food was outstanding we will definitely be back a very comfortable and friendly wee gem
Well positioned hotel with homely atmosphere and good food. Staff were friendly and attentive. Very good value.
Friendly, very helpful staff; lovely breakfast; We had the 4 poster room which was large enough for the bed not to dominate it. Slept really well.
room and bathroom were clean and comfortable
a little difficult to find meals a bit disappointing
Easy access to Manchester. Welcoming staff and a talkative chatty parrot.
good clean comfortable room
Friendly, great breakfast.would go back
Massive bed & room, very comfortable. Breakfast at the time we requested Fantastic value for money! Great location not far off the motorway, great to break up journey to Glasgow!
Comfy 4 poster bed Beautiful newly refurbished bathroom Yummy breakfast
Staff and food lovely
Had problem setting temp for shower.
easy to get to Hadrians wall from there staff were happy to oblige with bottle of wine cheese bread and olives because we missed dinner
Our room was great value for money! We had a four poster bed - and the bathroom has obviously just been modernised and was great - lovely big bath and shower. Room at front of hotel which is situated on side of busy road - but traffic didn't keep us awake. Staff were all very friendly - food was good. Ideal for an overnight stay.
The relaxing atmosphere of a family hotel
The proximity of the main road but the traffic noise was never an issue
family room was great very nice breakfast welcoming staff
can feel vibrations of traffic in room some bits starting to look a bit tired (bathrooms especially)
small room with tiny bathroom and poor shower
The location, food, staff and rooms are fantastic. This place is a little gem and I will stay here again, even if its just to get a flat iron steak! Simply superb in every aspect.
No dislikes whatsoever.
Lovely welcome. Tea on arrival a nice touch. Food excellent prepared from scratch by a chef) park Broom lodge is family run business and the owners made us very welcome. The lodge has a bar and a log fire which was comfy and welcoming on a cold night. I liked the Victorian building, and rooms were comfy and very clean. Breakfast was delicious. Will definately return.
Staff were super friendly, really couldn't have made you feel any more welcome, food was amazing definitely lives up to the reviews and a pleasant room with real comfy bed was a bonus. It was clean and homely and superb value
Didn't expect the location to be quite so isolated however it was only a short taxi journey to town which the staff were more than happy to organise
The easy welcome, tea and cake after a long drive from Norwich in front of a log fire could not have been better. Very nice evening meal small bar means you need to go no further on the day.
Location Meals Comfy bed
Some traffic noise Car park felt a bit remote
Very friendly and very helpful, the food and service were top class, I would recommend this place to anyone.
We immediately felt at home with the real log fire, homely comforts and hand prepared food. Our room was comfortable, clean and well presented with everything we needed.
The location, although next to a main road the room was quiet. The friendly nature of the staff, could not have been more helpful, especially with my late arrival. The bed was excellent, great sleep. A good hearty Cumbrian breakfast, you must take the sausages, the best I have tasted and real bread for toast, so much better than the limp bread I had the previous day at the Holiday Inn.
That I didn't have more time to enjoy the homely environment.
