We stayed with our extended family in the cottage and liked absolutely everything about it! The hosts were really welcoming and helpful. There was plenty of room for us all, large bedrooms, very comfy beds, warm, cosy living room with fire, plenty of games & toys, large dining table , interesting pieces of furniture. All the little details like bath robes, fire, fresh fruit, drinks only added to the comfort of our stay. We didn't book cooked breakfast with them, but had all the food essentials provided. The hot tub was a hit - we really appreciated it with the outside temperature of 0c. Local take aways are very good too, apparently due to the foodies at American airbase nearby.

Nothing to be unhappy about really.

The house was great with lots of extra touches. Owners went out of their way to be helpful. The bedroom had 4 poster bed and there was a hot tub in the garden. We were delighted with our stay and we will be going back.

Hot tub was great for relaxing. Real fire in lounge made the cottage very cosy. Owners were very welcoming too.

A little dated especially the bathroom, some of the decor could do with being updated. However this didn't effect our stay.

The hospitality of Diane and Steve was second to none, they made us feel so welcome and although we had the privacy of our own cottage we were safe in the knowledge that they were on hand to help if needed. The facilities were great, the hottub is a must! And the bathroom was magnificent. The space has been made use of effectively and it was so comfortable to stay in. The cooked breakfast the next morning also hit the spot, and it was very nicely cooked, as well as cereal and toast being available, a lovely touch even though it's self catering. I can't wait to stay again and I can't praise the place enough.

We only stayed for one night, and in this time I can honestly say that I could find no faults with our stay - perfect!

Steve and Diane were very welcoming, the accommodation was charming. The breakfast kept us going all day! Several little luxuries included. Well worth booking and staying.

Lovely guesthouse. Felt like home & the level of service was amazing. From being brought a full english breakfast to your room to the 'help' yourself fridge with beer, coke & water was a nice touch. The best place to stay for a romantic weekend or a trip away. Excellent!

We have had the best Honeymoon staying at The Walnuts. We couldn't have been more relaxed or had a better honeymoon.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They booked us a table at the local restaurant and offered a drop off and collection service. They attended any problems that we had, sorted out arrangements for our late arrival. They left banners celebrating our new status and a small gift of champagne and strawberries. We left our car there a day early to accommodate our planned change over from the wedding to the the hotel. They recommended a local pubs to visit depending on what we wanted and then told us what it offered in terms of atmosphere etc. It was a very pleasant experience at the Walnuts Country House!

The owner were excellent,every evening they would light the open log fire,a lovely warm feel when we got in.Steve the owner arrived every morning with our breakfast on a plate ready to eat even though we were staying about three cottages away

Loved the friendliness & warm hospitality shown by the owners!! It was a magical weekend!

We had a lovely room, quiet and peaceful. Huge sized bed in a large room with fridge and a separate bathroom and a little kitchen. Also had a garden to sit out in the evenings. The owners were friendly and helpful. Would stay there again, although we thought it was rather pricey at £95 per night with no discount for staying for two nights.

A superb setting full of charm and character amidst calm and tranquility. Extremely comfortable and well serviced. An absolute delight. Wanted to stay longer. Staff and service excellent. nothing was too much trouble. Will return!

The owners were lovely & the room exceeded expectations with extra touches - there was nothing overlooked for our comfort & the owners went out of their way to be helpful. The room itself was huge with a 4 poster bed & lounge area, dining table & our own kitchen area. We were delighted with our stay.
