The Walnut Tree Hotel  

Large room, well equipped and comfortable even though decor still 80s style.

Room smelled damp/ musty- which made our clothes smell the same after 3 night stay.

Very spacious and clean room. The night staff was very helpful and polite.

We found the matress in room 30 very uncomfortable with a dip in the middle. Mirrors on the ceiling would be great

Public rooms all well appointed. Excellent check in. Freshly cooked breakfast rather than usual buffet. Gluten free bread available.

Bedroom cold at night, no extra blankets. Dated bathroom, shower tap very difficult to turn. Staff appeared rushed at breakfast.

Food excellent, staff VERY friendly, obliging and helpful. Dawn, who serves the breakfasts is a great ambassador for the hotel, she recognised a gentleman who had not been at the hotel for two years and welcomed him with open arms, literally! Bar food was great and the reception staff were exceptionally friendly, going to the extent of helping me with the wi-fi connection.North Petherton is a good base for walkers and those who are interested in history. It is also close to Taunton and Bridgewater. There are one or two stately homes/gardens in the area also.

I didn'like the fact I paid £80 for the room and no breakfast included. So i'm afraid I did think the room was over priced and needed updating too. I would like to have stayed for breakfast but to add another £22 would have been too much for me.

Very friendly staff and very comfortable room apart from the heat at times. Lovely breakfast - all you could wish for!

The room was too hot at times as it was the other side of a corridor and therefore no outside window also the shower temperature fluctuated so could've been dangerous. However these are only minor dislikes and would not stop me using this hotel again.

We visited the Bridgwater carnival and the hotel took all the stress out of it by laying on a mini bus to take us in and bring us back. When we arrived back at the hotel the staff had laid on mulled wine and cheese and biscuits with rounded off a perfect day. Everyone in our party were well impressed with the hotel and the staff. Thank you.

The walnut tree hotel was central to where we wanted to be for visiting friends nearby. Also very friendly and clean. We did not eat at the hotel as we were visiting friends throughout the whole weekend. The suite was larger than we thought it would be and very comfortable.

staff were extremely friendly and breakfasts were great location excellent for getting to family wedding at Maunsel House

TV in our room didn't work

Nice staff, excelent restaurant, great food, nice atmosphere. Would certainly recommend for staying over when passing bye.
