Score from 440 reviews Very good
Breakfast was good, and apparently the Hall was very nice as we had friends staying in there.
The Coach House was very poor, not clean (dead flies on the window sill!), and smelt unclean. The rooms were very basic and small.
No hot water
Lovely setting. Nice breakfast. Had a lovely time and the wedding day was wonderful.
Tried asking two members of staff a question about why the fire alarm went off as we came out of our room the next morning but they did not understand us.
The Room was ok
The Plastic piece found in my pudding and the fact that there seemed to be low staff moral.
Friendly staff clean and good service.
Felt price of meals high so dined only once and went out locally.
Hotel grounds were lovely. We were using it as a base for Stratford and it was further away than we thought, but a good base.
There was an event on at the hotel which meant we couldn't use the bar/restaurant facilities. The bed was extremely uncomfortable.
This is the second visit to this hotel, we love Stratford which is only approx 5-10 minutes away and Leamington which is closer, a very lovely location in beautiful surroundings
Can't think of anything, which is why we went back and are now planning another visit
Some staff attitudes
Location was superb, and very quiet. Facilities were very good, and the rooms were spacious and very comfortable.
The restaurant was fully booked for both nights we were staying, so we were unable to eat there. There was food available in the bar area but the menu was very limited. We found that disappointing.
Rooms were quiet. Good choice at breakfast
Was difficult to find, especially as arrived in dark. Even when found signage not good to reception, parking etc.
Breakfast good. Bathroom clean. Shower good. Heating good.
Changing room in leisure centre dirty. Staff defensive when this was pointed out. More interested in protecting own position than ensuring it was clean. Bar staff in a hurry to get away. Reception told me that they would stop servicing food at 10pm, but at 9:30pm I was told to hurry up and order because the kitchen would be closing in 10 minutes. Staff reluctant to clear table and failed to clean away the crumbs from the previous customer. My £14 pizza was hard, with very little topping, but plenty of garlic salt. Faint smell like tobacco in room.
room clean and well fitted out. staff friendly.
the hotel contains several parts and its difficult to find your way around. you have to check in at the main reception and then make you way to what could be a different building. the distances can be long so you may need to take your car, especially in bad weather! same procedure in the morning to check-out and have breakfast...not convenient at all as a business stop-over destination
Bath not cleaned properly, toilet pan chipped. Poor service throughout. Lamp broken. Poor storage. Disappointed as 5* hotel did not live up to expectations.
Location and balcony and patios. Swimming pool
Leisure centre changing rooms
No opening window in bedroom. Mix up at reception about paying.
Amazing location and a Great hotel but failed to acknowledge my concerns. Got to my room and realised the tv cables at the back were all frayed and actually looked dangerous. I rang the reception and they said they would send someone out to have a look. This never happened so we left it. Woke up to a power cut which lasted 2 hours. As you can imagine this was a nightmare when trying to use the bathroom and get ready to go out. I then spoke to reception the next morning and they finally sent someone out to fix dangerous cables. Everything else was great. Apart from the broken steam room.
The lack of response about the frayed dangerous wires. Broken steam room. Power cut
Friendly staff lovely surroundings Evening meal superb
Spa facilities overbooked Long wait for breakfast plates and food
Lovely rooms and beautiful grounds.
Pool area needs an upgrade
our room had the windows screwed shut and despite the aircon was too stuffy. the fuction room we had our wedding in had no opening windows and got far too warm during our meal so much so we had to open the fre doors which then blew too much wind into the room, not good enough at this level.also we thought the carpets generaly could do with a change
Gym spa pool
Frisby golf and crazy golf gone
Really enjoyed the saunas, and the spa facilities.
Did not like the menu- unsuitable for vegetarians, just 1 choice of main meal and if staying more than one night this is not good enough. Ordered the spiced pumpkin ravioli and was served 3 ravioli on a plate costing £13.00, prices not appropriate as standard of meal not worthy but as vegetarian only choice, was held to ransom.
Very friendly staff, extremely clean rooms, great grounds.
Cost of breakfast extortionate! No veggie options for breakfast. Children's swimming lesson in the pool which was annoying when looking forward to a swim
lovely hotel .nice surroundings lovely walks
woke up by fire alarm twice bar prices pricey smell of dogs in the bar windows in swimming pool need a good clean staff lacking experience
