Very good,

“Whilst the interior of the hotel is somewhat "tired", customer service, food quality/variety and value for money more than compensate. I was more than happy and have booked again for the remaining three weeks I have in the Clevedon area.”

Faded elegance. Excellent staff. Lift is a delight. Bathroom door stuck and wardrobe door would not close - neither a major problem and did not affect a good stay.

Great view from bar and restaurant and half the rooms. Ample parking. Free Wi-fi. Didn't seem to be able to specify bath or sea view when booking on here. Poor mobile reception.

The age of the hotel with little change that gave a charming ambience the location, the views and what a well presented room. The staff were helpful and one elder member was very knowledgable in the history of the hotel. Everything was fine, we had an enjoyable stay and will return, happy to pass on this little gem to friends and family. Because of the age of the hotel I assume the water system has seen better days? When showering the cold water has to be fully open and the hot water tap only slightly open or the mix would be far to hot, As other rooms use the cold water then the shower becomes extremly hot, could be dangerous, needs looking at.

Comfortable, reasonably quiet and tidy room. Hotel bar had no food menu, so went elsewhere. Bar seemed okay, though.

Very good location with excellent views acroos the Bristol Channel...Breakfasts were very good indeed. Bar meals were priced in a cheeky manner; for example fried fish was on menu at, I think, £7.99 but the chips were not included and were another £2.50...same with curry, rice not included. However the drinks did include a glass...free of charge!!

Excellent food. very comfortable room and the bathroom was exceptionally good - plenty of space in both. We came to attend a Diamond Wedding Anniversary lunch and the service was excellent. Reception was slightly offhand on arrival. Our room wasn't ready despite the fact we'd asked for it to be ready by 12.00 as we wanted to leave our bags/ smarten up etc before going in to the lunch.

The location was great, an elevated position with sea views, staff were really friendly and helpful, particularly reception. Rooms very clean and comfortable. On the hotel website the restaurant was described as "award winning" We had dinner there and I'm afraid it was a little disappointing. Some of the food was clearly not freshly prepared on site . I suspect the desserts had been bought in and the "sherry sauce" with the chicken was rather unpleasant and the gravy served with the lamb was flavourless. The buffet breakfast was very good though, with the exception of the sausages.

The staff at this hotel were most welcoming and very helpful, it was the first time in quite a while that I was actually offered assistance with carrying my luggage to my room, well done, this was much appreciated! This hotel looks very tired, with the exception of newly carpeted areas the rest of the decor needs some serious attention. Dinner in the evening was not one of my best experiences, whilst edible it was not very appetising and the creme caramel was the worst I have ever eaten.

An old but updated hotel with plenty of character. The staff were very welcoming the room was spacious and a good breakfast was had. After staying at the Walton Hotel I drove home to find a message on my ansaphone from the Hotel saying that as there was a party that night we will be happy to move you to a quiter room - I had asked for a quiet room when booking. Checking in - nothing was said - why not? Checking out I mentioned the room was cold and wind was whistling through the window. The receptionist said 'That's the trouble with old buildings'. The room had been fitted with new double glazing! I was dissapointed on 2 counts (1) no mention at checkin re noise, (2) no further discusionns re the cold room. Let's say that I will not be visiting Walton Hotel again.

Very nice room, clean and spacious Comparing to the nice room, the rest of the hotel looked bit old, refreshement would do, also the china in restaurant very used. Breakfast was good, but dinner could be a lot better for the price you pay.

An excellent hotel in terms of comfort and welcome. The hotel, although a little dated, was steeped in character and old world opulance. Situated at the top of a hill with magnificent Victorian buildings and a wonderful view over the Severn Estuary. The food was excellent and very good value. A must for a stopover when travelling South to Devon from the North. Would definitely stay in this hotel again - superb.
