Very helpful, friendly staff, lovely main building and grounds. Excellent value for money.
Excellent location staff were polite and efficient
Check in is later than 2pm stated on booking.com not a problem to me but worth noting if you arrive at that time.although as soon as your room is ready they will try to get you in quickly which is great
The price - One night for £39 is cheap anywhere nowadays Reception and bar staff were both very good and the food was nice if not a bit overpriced
Cleanliness, manager, wifi didn't work, location, food and beverage prices
Stayed here on the 14 of feb right away from checking in right up to dinner & after the staff did they job amazingly going above what they get paid for, loved or trip away dinner was great been to a lot of five star hotels & the food is up there.
I was really unsure about the wifi just would not let you get onto the net.
bed and breakfast
Room clean and looked nice.
Couldn't find our room as no signs. Reception at Grange unmanned at all times. Noisey rooms. Not enough milk. Bed was two singles pushed together and you could feel the ridge in the middle when you slept. Breakfast price is extortionate so we decided to eat elsewhere.
Wonderful comfy room
Breakfast area Dinner was good Room nice size
Waited for answer at reception wi fi was difficult to connect TV in common area was sky news only
The country feel
No biscuits in room etc
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean and a good size.
We were in the main house, facing the drive, so were woken up every time a vehicle went past, which happened throughout the night. There was a party going on in the hotel and the noise prevented us from sleeping, until the party stopped. In short, if there was another hotel/B&B nearby, I would use that one in future. I probably wouldn't stay here again.
Beautiful surroundings Very pleasant staff Nice hotel & bar
We upgraded to a superior double room. Although the bed was comfortable it was rather small and would really expect a decent size bed for the upgrade. The room was quite small too... Not like the picture on the website!
Grange rooms 3 mins walk from hotel , ok in good weather not so when inclement
Simple bar food available at reasonable cost.
Mobile phone signal and internet access is not good at the Grange.
Comfortable Bed, clean room
Value for money - Overpriced
The rooms were large and the bed was comfy which is always good when you stay away from home on a regular basis.
The cost of the breakfast was high and the quality away from the main business was only average on one of the two mornings I stayed this week.
Restaurant was very good. Prefer to be in the main building but a previous stay in the ???? was good and the room had French doors to an outside patio, which would suit my smoking wife very well.
Not a lot.
Staff, restauramt, facilities
room 17 , with heating i could not alter and next to the kitchen extraction(noise not smell)
Pretty grounds Nice bathroom Comfy beds Friendly staff
Scruffy room Scuffs and scratches on the walls Stains on the carpet Stayed in the annex, miles away from the main hotel so felt like a travel lodge
The location was quiet and peaceful. The room was good and comfy and the breakfast was good and lots of it.
The restaurant/food facilities in the evening were not great. Went to a pub just up the road but they didn't serve food in the evenings so had to go to the next pub which turned out to be excellent.
Very good quality hotel.
Stayed for 2 nights and on returning the on the second day room had not been cleaned and bed not made!
Reception staff VERY VERY helpfull. I only stayed 1 night , never tried the restraunt or any other facilities.
The staff, each and everyone one of them were fantastic, upbeat dispite having to apologise for dirty hotel rooms, damp windows, slow food from kitchen, wrong food from kitchen. Totally amazing team, I would give them a job at my hotel tomorrow.
Small tight loaf room because it lacked character. Black mould on windows. Dirty blanket on bed although just the top one. Main bed lined clean. Wallpaper falling off walls. Paint falling off walls. Dirty bathrooms and bedroom furniture that desperately need deep clean. I even found some one dental stick. Low batteries in TV remote. No glasses in room and no water. Dusty beside lights and generally bad upkeep of hotel.
Staff friendly Breakfast 1st class Rooms comfortable
Staff and overall feel of a country house hotel
The common area for Bar and Lounge needs a bit of redesign to make it more cosy if you are in small groups
Bed was comfortable & clean albeit on the small size for a Superior double room.
For a Superior room it was dark dingy & small with grubby carpets. The bath had chips & some of the tile grouting was black or missing. Noisy central heating pipes all night long despite radiators turned off & housekeeping in next door room awakened you very early with incessant talking. We had little sleep & would not chose to stay again.
