Really helpful staff here
Really strong it freshener soaked curtains!
Nothing stuck us as good and made us want to come back
Bathroom moldy Room cold felt damp No heating in room during night Tatty furnishings Not enough tea/coffee
The room was clean and tidy.
I find the room was a bit cold. No spoon to make a hot drink.
Nothink realllly roooom was a shed compared to pics!!!!
The staff especiallly the manager bangin our dooor dwn at 10.45 telllin us we had to b left by 11 which we knew n she was verrry rude and arrogent wouldnt reccomend it....
The location is very good and the service too.
The building does not have sound insulation quality, and everything that was said in the next room we heard perfectly. However, all this happened at 3 am, for more than an hour. So I can not recommend the hotel, because you can not sleep.
Not much - but the bed wasn't too bad and there was no noise overnight.
The staff treated us like commodities, not guests. The food was disgusting and the rooms needed refurbishment several years ago, The faint smell of sick in my room didn't help either. It's cheap - but FAR from cheerful.
The room was very clean and staff were extremely friendly! Excellent cleanliness. No complaints at all and excellent value for money. We booked 3 rooms and was surprised at the quality considering how cheap it was. We go every year for the German market and we will definitely be staying at this hotel again. Thank you.
Location was good, and the breakfast was ok.
We arrived 30mins before check in time, and were told that our room would not be ready until 2pm. This was fine as we popped out and returned at 2.35pm. We had to sit and wait whilst the room was checked but were told that it was ready and so checked in. we were in room 320 which was at the far end of the hotel and during our walk through the corridors we tackled mounds of towels and other room cleaning goods. when we arrived at the corridor outside our room you could hardly see the floor as there were cleaning goods, towels, bedding hoovers and various other things on the floor. A cleaner came out of the room and i asked her if room 320 was along that corridor to which i received an eastern european response. I battled past her and the rest of the stuff to find my room. When entering the room, it became clear that nothing had been updated in the last 20 years (except the flat screen tv) The curtains were faded along with the carpet. The duvet had about an inch long stain (possibly blood) at the bottom. The shower was extremely dated but worked if you had it on cold. as soon as you turned the temperature up, the power reduced to a drizzle. The bed was very old and lumpy. To sum it up, I have stayed in better hostels. It might of been passable at £10 a night but definitely not at £65 which is what we paid
Its cheap. It has a bar. Plenty of parking
The hotel is tired, the staff are tired, quality hotels obviously know that but they dont do it anything about it. Go figure.
heating restricted on a very cold day shower only luke warm disturbed by housekeeping having to come and put on a duvet cover because it wasnt on the bed when i went to the room. Fire alarm went off and it was very disorganised no one to greet and tell me where things were and that it was semi self service at breakfast no lift! imidiatly confronted by stairs when i went through doors to reception! I use a stick and had luggage. Luckily a customer helped me
No wifi despite being told there was meant I had to relocate to another hotel in the morning Phone did not work shower did not work
Price . Location and free parking.
Mattress old and too soft . Shabby furnishings . Didn't feel upmarket . But not bad value for money.
staff polite and courteous. Evening meal and breakfast were good
Bathroom needs updating. Tiles were filled and did not match. Towel rail was rusty
Staff accommodated my choice of room
i loved how comfy the bed was and breaky was yum
the WiFi in our room was poor we had bought our wedding gift thinking we could set the laptop up that day due to poor internet connection we had to wait till we got home
This hotel was a great in a fab location, we went Christmas shopping in merry hill all day it was lovely to think we didn't have to drive miles home as we were staying in the quality hotel for one night, we arrived after a long day from shopping to a lovely welcome by the receptionist she was quick with getting us booked in told is everything we needed to know we got into our room which was lovely and clean lots of leaflets to read around the area I ran a bath while Hubbie order food from room service which was excellent and we didn't have to wait long the bed was very comfy great TV stations and excellent breakfast next morning and lots of choice which set is off for the jorney home. I would defenatlyuse this hotel again and recommend to frenids and family, thank you for making out stay lovely.
If I have to be really really picky I'm on crutches found it hard getting up and down the steps to and from reception and the restraunt there were no slopes or any other way of getting to these areas:(
Helpful staff. Lovely room. Bed very comfy. Breakfast was top notch. Quiet location. Very tidy.
My one and only comment is doors squeaking at night when being opened and closed. But not end of world.
the door out! Breakfast was cheap produce but ok for a fiver!
Dirty cups Dirty room Poor customer service No sound proofing of rooms - heard next door's conversation and noises! No hot water
The bed was comfortable
The shower in the bathroom was appalling at first there was no hot water coming out then when it eventually decided to work the next day it was like a tap l could barely use it . I tried to ring the reception on numerous occasions to report this but no one answered but yet they say its open 24hrs.
Staff were friendly Bed was comfortable.
Hotel is old and needs refurbishment. All tables at breakfast were not cleared and relaid after people had finished and leftI. had to to wander around looking for a clean tea cup and knife and fork. This hotel is in competition with the new premier inn practically opposite which is a similiar price and the rooms, cleanliness, and food at the premier inn are far superior.
The staff were very rude. I've never experienced such a poor standard of service - ever! The state of the bathroom was disgusting. The beds were hard. DO NOT STAY HERE.
I did not like it
uncomfi beds , poor restaurant,
The room was pleasant clean . Bed was springy but very comfy . Mugs for your drinks better than cups . Overall pleasant stay. Staff very friendly and a warm welcome.
We went to a concert at the lg arena got back 12.30ish the doors were locked had to call a night porter . Would have been better if the key let us in. It took over 20 mins to get hot water for a shower tried taps they were the same . Hairdryer cut out . No phone to contact reception. To report it and this made me late for work .
