The warm freindly atmosphere of the staff.The location is great for all amenities.with a few eating establishments very close to the hotel for those who like to dine out.

I would have larger screen televisions in the rooms, as the the rooms are very spacious but the TV's installed are for Kids box rooms not a hotel room.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, good selection of food, information available on local amenities, local knowledge.

Car parking advertised - very difficult to access car park with large car - car park gates closed in afternoon - had to walk round block to hotel - found owners not present during afternoons and evenings - would have to ring emergency number if needed assistance. Bed uncomfortable

I was given a double room for single occupancy and although the space was not huge, it was simply decorated and comfortable. The room had a telly, kettle, hairdryer and ensuite bathroom where everything worked. Everything to do with keys and breakfast times etc was well thought-out and explained on arrival. I was handed a useful map for reference. Happily it was located walking distance to where my friend lives.

The warmth and friendlyness of the owners was clear to see from the moment we arrived and very helpful for advice on places to see in York

good breakfasts, very clean tidy rooms, everything there for visit eg hair dryer, tea coffee tray

Accomadation looked dated. Duvets on beds very thin and worn. Shaving point in bathroom loose. breakfast overcooked and not of very good quality very disappointing did not think it was a 4 star.
