Professional, helpful, friendly staff. Great location on the banks of the lake yet easy walking distance into town. Good selection of local ales. Superb English breakfast.
Food menu in the bar quite restricted and lacking in imaginative use of local produce. Quite expensive for bar food too but then again the portion sizes were good.
Location. Room. Staff.
I couldn't fault this hotel, easy parking and ideally positioned, great view of the lake from my room, excellent breakfast , and facilities. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.
I like how clean, polite and where the inn is situated ....this is our 5th time staying
Loved the room 'Fishers Landing'... Staff very knowledgeable & helpful... Food excellent with a good choice of cooked dishes for breakfast... Beautiful view from room... Very clean and spacious... Just on the edge of town... but right next to the launch jetty so an excellent location...
I can't think of a thing
Excellent all round experience. This was our second stay and we had a great time again. We especially like the location and the helpful and friendly staff and atmosphere.
We have no issues. All was excellent!
RESTRICTED CHOICE OF DINNER MENU
We stayed in one of the suites (Windermere) and it was absolutely gorgeous! Great view from the balcony over the lake and everything so spotlessly clean and comfortable. Quite expensive but well worth it! Breakfast had loads of choice and was always piping hot! Will be booking again!!!!
There wasn't anything that we didn't like at all, except perhaps a small fridge for cold drinks in the room.
The hotel was situated in a lovely location. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was beautiful. The hotel was spotlessly clean. We stayed 4 nights b and b, but ate in the hotel on 3 nights as the food and service was excellent.
Very Dog Friendly, without inconvenience to non dog visitors. My Stay was cut short, but very happy with the stay.
Narrow corridors with many levels & steps/stairs when carrying you own heavey case.
Nicely situated just a 10 minute stroll into Ambleside. Lovely busy atmosphere, pleasant staff , and breakfast very good , would highly recommend. Location and lake views , beautiful outdoor seating area .
Didnt like noise of kitchen extracter fan ,just below our room , but went off at nine so not a problem . Didnt want to leave.
The breakfast was good
The disabled lift was broken
outstanding view staff were very attentive
Spacious room with great view over the lake
Others in the party had a single room on the first floor, which had a ceiling at 5'11". No good for somebody 6' tall!
Very nice room had everything we wanted. Breakfast was very good and staff were polite and friendly. Very busy bar and restaurant but guests get priority service.
Nothing at all.
Location excellent Excellent breakfasts
System for ordering dinner spoilt dining experience Internet coverage poor
Sitting in the garden & enjoying a glass or two of wine whilst looking out onto Lake Windermere.
There were some dead midges on the window sill.
The team was great! Very friendly. Hotel is very nice.
Little over priced.
Great location. Dog friendly - could dine with my dog in some areas
Had to close windows at night because of road noise
We have stayed here on many occasions and will return again. Excellent location and service from the staff.
Only a minor negative as we booked the room fairly late our room was a twin and quite small. I would strongly recommend early booking as the Hotel is very popular.
Great location, really friendly helpful staff, great room.
A little bit noisy at times.
Idyllic location especially when the sun shines. Great breakfast freshly cooked....no microwaved rubbish. Staff are so lovely, warm , kind, thoughtful, genuine people.
Too many dogs and noisy children!! But it was very busy, height of season, school holidays. Just too noisy for me at times!
Hidden gem and worth a visit
Parking is a bit restricted when it's busy and didn't see any dedicated disabled spaces
