Very good rates... I did not like the attitude of the staff when it came to the residents bar. Depending on who you talked to it was open till three or not open at all or till sometime in between, and the staff took ages to get a drink when it was finally opened. I was part of a group that was there for a christmas party and we had been told initially that residents had access to it till three. They should just close it permanently and quit with the confusion and reluctance of staff to serve. |

Food was good, staff friendly. Had a problem with a buzzing noise which was loudest in bathroom but it did wake me and was noticeable in the bedroom during the night - for 2 - 3 hours! In the morning the noise had stopped. |

As we were there for one night only it is hard for us to give a comprehensive comment, suffice to say we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. |

Freindly helpful reception staff. Comfortable bed. Good food. Wi-Fi internet not available in room as advertised, only in the reception area. While the standard of cleaning was generally good we still had an empty soap dispenser in the bathroom 3 days after mentioning it to staff. Safe in room couldn't be used as it was locked and could not be opened with the combination given. No waste bin in room which was a little annoying. Only one chair in room, two would have nice in a double room. There was a stool at the desk but it was very wobbly and didn't feel safe to sit on. Car park can get full to overflowing when a function is on making it difficult to get in and out as people park anywhere. During the daytime disabled spaces always seemed to have tradesmans vans parked in them. |

I only stayed for one night therefore my experience was extremely limited. Service in the large bar was good even though it was very busy with a Saturday night crowd and people appeared to be enjoying themselves. I did not like the intrusive 'music' that was non-stop in the bar. It was too loud and inescapable. I would only recommend the hotel to people that I knew were not looking for 'luxury'. Good for people on a tight budget, or as in my case, the hotel of choice was full. You need better quality pillows. A tray of used dishes, left outside a room in the corridor leading to my room, was there when I arrived and when I left the following morning. It should have been removed faster than that. |

There was no problem changing our room away from the room next door which was still be renovated. The bathroom was old, tiles bulging from the wall. Tired! A gutter down pipe appeared to be running down the inside of the wall in boxing and rainwater was running through it all night!!! |
