Waterford Lodge Hotel

staff friendly but unobtrusive -

No allowance made for cold weather -heating off. lack of illuminated signage a definite fire hazard. lack of shower facilities - showers hard to operate and bath set up difficult for elderly/ancient visitors. lighting in rooms to dim. differing floor heights in corridors hazardous.

Location, clean room with comfortable bed.

Breakfast, small with no fresh coffee, and lack of available staff.

The Location of the hotel is good, the Bar and Restraunt areas are also good to, with the food being very good

The Hotel side of the Waterford is very poor and in need of a revamp Urgently, the showers do not work, the rooms are very dated, and some smell of damp. The wi Fi and TV's do not work in most rooms. If given a good revamp it would be a great place to stay, as Morpeth is a good location

It was clean

The room was noisy due to the generator outside. There is also one key that allows you into the building and every room in the hotel. It is not safe, especially when there isnt even a lock on the inside of your door!

It was impossible to sleep due to the noise of the generator outside. Further to this, my shower did not work and upon going down to breakfast, we waited at least 20 minutes to be served by the waitress and then waited a further 40 minutes to receive our breakfasts.

Clean comfortable hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast included in price.

The service & breakfast was very poor first morning no bacon avaliable the shower in the room was very tempremental either scolding or cold the wallpaper was peeling on ceiling & was hanging down on one strip I didnt like the key operation as one key fitted all doors outer inner & room so every room must have the same locks not very secure if that is the case

Best pub-grub fish & chips we've ever had. Breakfast was equally as good.

Noise from an extractor or something similar at rear of hotel.

Young daughter and I loved the location being so close to the pretty town with good shops. She enjoyed exploring the Park and Castle. The hotel could do with a touch of tlc and a little freshen up with decor however was very clean and tidy; with our room being large, light and comfortable.

We didn't have any help offered to our room with our heavy luggage, with no lift visible the stairs were a little tricky for my daughter to manage with case in tow!

Staff very friendly and a young waiter went out of his way to inform us of places to visit. Food excellent. Morpeth a lovely place to shop with lots of different shops other than high street. Would visit again.

Shower in bathroom seized up so had to use bath which we found difficult being in our 70s,

No heating in bathroom,having to get up early for breakfast like business people unable to have lie in

The downstairs area/bar was lovely.

The whole room nothing was nice not clean shower not working and bed was terrible and the towels were hard and discoloured. When we told them in the morning the shower didn't work they didn't care. Overall did not enjoy our stay.

It was well situated in the middle of Morpeth. The room was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The TV needs renewing and more channels. A better shower would improve the room we had.

A very tired hotel that needs updating and a lot of money spent on it to bring it up to today's standards. Couldn't say when it last saw a coat of paint

We liked the location as it was near to were we wanted to be.The hotel itself was nice and clean and warm

The service was very slow.At breakfast we waited for about 20 mins before anybody came to serve us.We had to ask for milk to be filled up for the tea and cereals. As we checked out there was nobody on reception we kept pressing the bell. We waited for about 10 mins before anyone came.The reception staff wasnt very helpful and kept us waiting for ages. For what it cost us for 2 nights was not value for money.

Very welcoming staff, friendly atmosphere and lobby tastfully decorated.

Breakfast on a weekend could be a bit later until 10.00am.

Good location near to the centre of morpeth. Helpful staff. Breakfast included in price. Good for the price.

The Staff are very welcomeing and freindly, food was also excellant.

The Hotel side of the waterford is very poor and in need of a revamp, as the rooms are very tired and also damp feeling.

Though sparse in provided comforts everything clean and in working order. The public area was welcoming. Proximity to the town centre.

The tired and shabby decor of the hotel area with long and poorly labelled directions. Breakfast unimaginative.

Bed was very comfortable, bathroom large and clean

Room was very cold and we had to vacat by 10.30 which is very early.
