Cooked breakfasts are available daily, and the cozy lounge bar offers beverages, bar meals and snacks. The bar and restaurant both look onto the grounds. Best Western Waterford Lodge is just a short walk from Mudeford Quay. Highcliffe Castle is a mile away, and the center of historic Christchurch is a 5-minute drive away. Hotel Rooms: 18, Hotel Chain: Best Western. We're sorry, but it is currently not possible to make reservations for this hotel.

It is a real gem! Slightly olde world charm, great rooms, and the comfort factor of being part of the Best Western group. You are just a short distance from the New Forest, and close enough to Bournemouth without all the razzle and crowds. Make sure you're hungry if you dine in the restaurant, though! It is largely staffed by the Proprietors, and it shows in the level of service. Overall, one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in. I recommend it.

Not a lot to be honest - think for £150 per night it didnt quite hit the mark TV didnt work properly and for £150 a night, two single beds shoved together wasnt what I was looking for. Staff weren't as friendly and helpful as I would have expected (got the deep sigh treatment when I asked for more milk for coffee on Sunday morning). Shower and bathroom really just adequate. We decided on this hotel and this tariff looking for a wow factor, we should have gone elsewhere really.

Hotel was overpriced for location and facilities. Staff were unhelpful. My partner turned the light off at the wall and got an electric shock and was thrown across the room; this then fused all lights in the hotel and since the only means of getting any help was via a note left at reception, and since we were plunged into complete darkness, we were unable to see the note or to do anything about it. Lights were resumed next day but no apology. Coffe/tea was meagre and supplies not replenished for next day. My partner found room very hot and after a sweaty night, pulled off the sheets so that we would have clean bedding. The staff merely made the bed with wet sheets and were not pleased at being asked to change them. We requested a call from the manager on departure, but so far, he has not bothered to ring us. I would not advise you to stay in this hotel.

The food was good. I booked this hotel as a surprise for our wedding anniversary and the whole experience was extremely poor. The so called "superior" room that I booked was dirty and pokey and cetyainly not worth the £170.00 per night price tag. The lights didn't work, the tv was in such an awkward place it was impossible to watch, the massage chair was broken and we had a lovely view of the back of a car in the car park. When we arrived thought we would have some lunch and ordered a bottle of wine. About 20 minutes after ordering we were informed that there was no bar food until after 6pm (it was only 3pm at the time) I ended up driving to the local shop and buying some crisps as they didn't even have these behind the bar. I should have stayed at a Travel Lodge where I would have saved myself £150.00 and had a better experience. Did I complain, yes and was told I could have 20% off my next stay with them - as if I would waste any more money on this establishment!

The staff were very friendly & helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The room we had was very comfortable, well stocked - tea coffee, the room was also very clean. We enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant which was very good a wide choice & well presented. Breakfast was big & hearty just as a good English breakfast should be.

Comfortable and as world travellers we found it not overbearing The bar and particularly restaurant staff were friendly and efficient One point which you might consider is ensuring that the front door step is adequately marked. On entering my wife (73 yrs old ) took a tumble as she did not notice when she made her entry

It was a convenient location for us to attend a family wedding and we were disappointed with the room we were given (it was a Twin as requested) because of where it was in the hotel. The door opened out to a steep descending staircase immediately on the right of the door and that would have been dangerous for elderly folk. The room itself did not look attractive at all. However, the staff were happy to give us a different room. It was a double but the bed was over 6 ft and had we known that that bed existed, we would not have ordered a Twin. We liked the proximity to the sea and enjoyed being able to walk to it and along the front.

The hotel is currently under going refurbishment not a minute too soon the decor is tired and the evening meal food was poor. One poor member of staff serving during the evening and again at breakfast. For the money charged it was very over priced for a one night stay

The location near to Avon Beach and Mudeford. Parking. Staff were good. Old fashioned, dated and tried looking. The breakfasts were uninspiring and dull. Didn't enjoy them in fact stopped having them even though we had paid for them. The logo on some of their packs was 'Hotels with personality'. Should have read 'Hotels without personality'

Easy access to Christchurch and the new forest, The Hotel was quiet and in pleasant surroundings. The breakfast was adequate and price for B&B was good Room 2 smelt stale and had the kitchen vent outlet outside the window, we were moved to another room (17) which was a 3 bed room , nicely decorated and large. What is the point to stand the TV on the floor, difficult to watch.

“The staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. The restaurant and the food were fabulous, brilliant menu from breakfast, Sunday lunch, afternoon tea and wonderful dinners. Even the latte coffee served in the bar came with a home made warm biscuit! The room was comfortable, if a little small, but the sea view was amazing.” Susan, Bedford |
