Waterhall Country House (Gatwick)  

The service from the staff - the quality of the food - and the overnight accommodation were all extremely good and we would not hesitate to come again and recomment it to others.

Excellent value stop-over for early flights from Gatwick, that includes parking. Friendly, clean, efficient and well-organised. Would definitely stay again.

I can see that the Waterhall might be attractive for a stay other than ours, especially if one were arriving by car. We arrived by train from London for an overnight stay in advance of an early morning flight from Gatwick. The taxi fare from the airport (17 GBP), return to the airport (10 GBP) and to and from the nearest place to get an evening meal (10 GBP) added 37 GBP to the cost of our one night. Had we know we would have booked ourselves into a nearby airport hotel.

Different hotel from where I booked, (really confused when the taxi dropped me off at 2am), booked a double room, but given a twin, no tea/coffee making in room (but offered a pot of coffee on arrival), roomy but badly-designed carpeted (yeughhh) bathroom (door bounced off bath if opened fully, loo up a small step, nowhere to hang towels),

Being in the open countryside so close to Gatwick airport. Warm, helpful, friendly greeting, convienient and efficient airport parking, good breakfast. Breakfast room looks onto a pretty copse of trees

The room very dated, bed not very comfprtable. The table and chairs in the front garden were in poor condition, need replacing, it would have been nice to sit down outside looking at the fields with a drink in the sun.

Pictures assume a quiet area, but it's just a mile from Gatwicks major runway, so very noisy. Hotel is mainly used for stay-overs who use the airport. Don't take their advise to eat in their main hotel, 2 miles down the road, it's horrible. Room was ok apart from already used sheets!

Everything ran like clockwork staying at this hotel. We had an early morning flight and the taxi was ordered and arrived right on time and took us straight to the airport. Again coming home it was the same although we were a little confused as to where the front of the Sofitel Hotel was to where our taxi was waiting, but probably due to us being a bit jet lagged. Taxi took us straight to car park where car was. Super service.

I think this was my 3rd visit, I find it very convenient & the staff are always friendly & helpful, I think Lorna was on when we arrived & she was more than helpful, the lady who does the breakfast is very helpful also & caters for the customer very well.

The staff where very freindly, and nothing was too much trouble for them, the hotel was very clean and the room we stayed in was very spacious and the bathroom was big, will defantly will stay there again if we have the oppertunity many thanks for a plesant stay

Excellent stay at Waterhall Country House Hotel before going off on holiday, very comfortable, good breakfast and excellent service with the transfers to and from the hotel, would recommend this to others as very good value and good service

The cab to the airport was right on time.

I did not like that there was no where to eat, you had to take a cab to another b&B.

Its proximity to airport as well as the offer of free parking and taxi to and fro airport. It was a quiet night with only 2 other guests so we were totally undisturbed. However the hotel has a little need of updating to bring it up to a higher standard but cant fault the price and attention of the staff.

Can be a little noisy if the planes take off in the directionof the hotel.
