Excellent hotel for use as an overnight stop for Gatwick airport with parking. The hotel was reasonably priced and they organize a taxi service to and from the airport which could not be faulted. The hotel has excellent rooms and being under the flight path we did not hear any planes go over whilst in our room unless we opened the window. Would definitely use this hotel again when visiting the area,
We loved the staff and their friendly manner. The food was excellent and bar well stocked.
Not much really. It is very close to gatwick but indoors you hardly hear the planes.
everything.....greeted at the door quick checkin sown to my room excellent evening meal and grea service
there was nothing to dislike.
the accommodation, the welcome, the area, the food
Really enjoyed our last night before heading home....Convenience Ambience . Charm.Picturesque rural setting. Great Food.A fleeting sight of deer as we chatted happily at dinner , swapping stories with fellow traveller's.Thank you was a lovely ending to our month over in England.
The building The grounds The location Nice room Friendly and accommodating staff Good food Easy parking
Only one small thing: no phone in the bedroom
Really pretty room and very comfortable. It also had two very nice armchairs overlooking the garden so I could sit and relax in the comfort of my own room after dinner without feeling like I was in my bedroom. Very good for someone travelling solo. Very handy for the airport. Dinner was good and there was a wide choice. Could expand the wine choice. My choice for Breakfast was also good...... cooked breakfast but not at all heavy. Very light and the fluffiest scrambled egg ever.
Not good wine choice. Guy at breakfast seemed a little put out that I was half hour ahead of my reservation .... No one to help take my luggage to the car. I was more than happy with my choice of breakfast but there was little other choice. Fruit flavoured yoghurts only and sliced bread
As a stop over for flight to Gatwick airport, we will never park our car there again. Should have read the reviews. Our car had been moved to make spaces and on our return home one of the alloy wheels has been scraped all around the rim. I hasten to add not from me or my husband as we are so so careful and fussy with the care of our car! The lady owner was dam right rude when there was not sufficient space to park our bmw 5 series on arrival. A big car to park. Told us there was nothing she could do. Too late to park elsewhere. Having read other people's nightmare reviews we probably got off lightly! But will be telling our friends never to stay there.
A nice location but spoiled by the continuous noise if aircraft taking off from Gatwick Airport. It did Not disturb us once we were asleep. Nice room, very clean, good sized walk in shower. We received a warm welcome and instructions about our stay. The taxis for our outward and return journeys were arranged by the hotel. Nice grounds where we saw a deer and a fox close to the hotel.
Our bill was £20 more than we had booked on line with Booking.com. On production of our confirmation we received an apology and paid the original price.
Late check-in were allowed. Big room. Nice inner temperature
Gatway airport is near - so airplane voice was quite strong.
Lovely comfy bed & spacious room. Evening meal & breakfast were both very good
On the flight path for aircraft taking off from gatwick
I was exstreamly disappointed by only being able to check in between 3-10 we travel far for a wedding and they hotel was not helpful at all in accomodating I had to leave in the middle of the wedding meal to check
Excellent service from the hotel, have now used this hotel twice and will be returning for a third time.
Staff very friendly, good breakfast and dinner meals. Good chef
It is located just at the taking off area of influence of Gatwick...too noisy..impossible to relax ir even have a nice sleep. The room had a strong smell of old, but clean. Bathroom had a bath tube but not shower..no curtains, so water mess is guaranteed.
Nothing not to like!
Cleanliness and politeness of staff. Nothing was too much trouble.
the garden view from the conservatory area for dinner/breakfast and from our room, the nice food/breakfast, comfy beds
planes interrupting talks (but surprisingly ok for the night), poor phone reception, couldn't get a thinner duvet for the night
Pleasant introduction. Made fully aware of the process for the taxi to and from the airport etc. lovely clean room, good food and nice people.
The planes flying over - haha!
Great location, wonderful staff, great value for money.
Could not find fault in any area.
Very friendly welcome - I had to return late after a family party but gaining access was easy. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was excellent.
The room was very confortable and the Staff were freindly. We had a great meal in the conservatory overlooking the grounds. A very relaxing start to our holiday
the staff made everything the taxies to and from airport leaving car and collecting it easy very helpful a credit to the hotel
The beds felt beautifully clean and comfortable, the rooms delightful with lovely views, in fact our first view of the morning was of a deer on the lawn.
The noise and disturbance of the aircraft approaching gatwick.
Crisp white bedding on a comfy bed; a roomy shower in a spotless, freshly fitted bathroom. Taxis to and from airport arranged for us on arrival. All good.
