A simply fabulous location on the shores of the beautiful and serene Lake Windermere; just a short mile walk will take you to the picturesque Ambleside where you can take in some of the local produce in fantastic small delis and shops. The Hotel itself is well decorated and the Luxury room is blessed with an amazing view and a wonderfully decorated bed and bathroom. On arrival we were greeted with a birthday card... for a previous guest! We also found a previous guest's hair grip on the floor and perhaps more disgustingly, a french nail on the carpet. It was a shame as this was billed as a 'Luxury' room with a considerable price tag. |

Very clean modern hotel. Nice bathroom. Traffic noise-main roads on two sides. Not an peaceful lakeside position as advertised. A main road runs between hotel and lake. Could barely see the lake from our 'lake view room'. Lacks character and atmosphere. |

Very friendly Meal far too rushed felt like they wanted you out of the way as quick as possible, which spoiled the whole anniversary meal. Food very average paid £92 but had better food and more timely service for £40 |

The location is quite good! It's just front of the sea side. It would be more helpfull if they have a frexible shower head in the bath room. Refreagerator should be placed in the room. The lift would be really needed especially for a family with small children. |

A quality Hotel with excellent customer service and staff who are a credit to the hotel. Brlliant room & facilities with a superb beer garden viewing lake windermere. I would strongly recommend the Waterhead hotel and will be back again!!!!!!!!!!!! |

The location was perfect and the decor was light and modern The restuarant staff made you feel like you were being whipped in and out. You were sent off to the buffet at breakfast and no sooner had you returned to your seat they were there to take your order from the menu for cooked breakfast. It would be good to have time to actually look at the menu! The same happened at dinner on Saturday evening. |
