shower in room 17 doesn't work

no lift to second floor (i have a sore shoulder at moment) but the staff did offer to help me with luggage

Friendly staff (except receptionist on arrival who didn't seem very interested). Very clean, beautiful location.

Uncomfortable bed with old matress. Curtains didn't match refurbished room, would have made a much better impression if they had been updated too, the rest of the room was fine and very clean. Bar was in great position with view but empty so no atmosphere and we didn't stay for a drink or to eat which we had intended to do. Breakfast service was very very slow although when it did arrive it was freshly cooked. Although a short wait for fresh food would be acceptable the wait on 2 out of 3 mornings was much too long. Perhaps this was caused by a short breakfast period meaning when the hotel was full many guests came to breakfast at around the same time and the kitchen couldn't cope. Would have mentioned this on departure but other people waiting so didn't want to hold them up.

The hotel was very comfortable and warm. It was very cold when we were there. The food was excellently prepared and served and the staff were very efficient. Bedroom was very comfortable.

Dinner menu was quite expensive. Didn't mind that, as the food was excellent quality and was better than expected. But to pay £16.95 for a cheese board for two was sheer extortion.

Such friendly helpful staff Easy to find. Amazing location, beautiful views, garden path leads to jetty on lake. Just gorgeous. Lovely spotless room great lake view (room 4) Thank you so much, I had a wonderful break with my dog. Look forward to returning with my childeren.

Scary Father Christmas in the hall! lol Apart from that I didnt like the fact I wasnt staying longer!

The staff are very relaxed and the hotel itself is lovely, location being on the lake makes for a very beautiful spot to stay.

The staff were very good and helpfull, the breakfast was very nice but portion perhaps a bit small. The price was ok.

Even when radiator was on the bedroom was chilly,ok it was December. There was a couple of damp patches on the bedroom wall. The bar does seem to lack atmosphere.

The position and surrounding of the hotel was amazing. The staff were helpful,courtious and friendly at all times. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay.

I found the shower qiute inadaquate slow and not very good. We found the bed extremely uncomfortable as it was two single beds put together and not a double as expected. .
