Peaceful excellent food &staff
Emergency exit light was very bright
The hosts were great personalities with loads of experience and cared about our comfort and general accommodation extras. We were only there for a night but wished it could have been more!
Friendly staff, wonderful breakfast, beautiful views
Was expecting a room furnished In the style of the Manor house but was modern
The house is beautiful looking, owner very nice and jolly.
The cleaning needs to be better bedrooms not up to standard. Dirty marks on the white plastic of windows, tea marks down side of unit, bathroom grime stains, shame cause it let it down, otherwise be perfect!
Very good breakfast. Room very nicely decorated and comfortable.
Was disappointed there was no food available for evening on both days of our stay even though were e-mailed a menu the morning of our first day before arrival. The breakfast however was excellent on both days.
The wonderful cottage and welcoming entrance of art and a large park-like back property. Also liked the fact that there were no surrounding adjacent properties.
Paying for breakfast.
Location, rooms spacious, views, peaceful
Country setting Modern facilities Friendly staff reliable wifi
Evening Restaurant menu very limited
It was nice in terms of decor and facility. The breakfast was lovely and most of the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Although quite smart it lacked much personality and felt a bit 'cattle marketish' or purpose built as a commodity, including the grounds. A few of the fittings, such as the shower taps, we're broken too - but not very seriously. Not homely but very pleasant for a short stay!
The manager and his wife could not do enough to make our weekend the best it could be. Nothing was too much trouble, even when they were rushed off their feet they had time to chat and always, always were smiling! Would definitely recommend to friends and family, and hopefully we can return again one day.
Location, staff,service and value
Warm, welcoming, helpful staff. Comfortable bed & good quality bathroom towels. Tranquil setting, beautiful grounds & stunning views of surrounding countryside. Good level of cleanliness. Excellent choice of options at breakfast. Staff highly accommodating to my wife's requirement for lactose and gluten-free foods,
friendly obliging staff, lovely location (read their helpful directions or you your sat nav may direct you to the wrong side of the valley!)
Loved this hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the rooms beautiful. This was our best accommodation after travelling all over England. We would highly recommend it.
It is out of Bath but only five minutes drive with easy parking near the cricket grounds. The location of this estate is worth it to be out of town.
Excellent service Facility to have a simple but tasty hot meal, rather than needing to go out Comfortable and clean accomodation and a good breakfast, and exactly how we wished. Good selection for breakfast on offer and included in our room price
The friendliness of the staff and attention to detail, particularly the big white fluffy towels. Accommodation is second to none, food was delicious and we ended the night enjoying the company of Steve and Tiama, along with several other guests. One of those nights when you meet great people whose company you enjoy and will remain as a highlight of our trip from Australia for many years to come.
I did like the enviroment where the hotel is situated
ok, let's start from begging... when we arrived to your hotel, everything looked good.. Guy from reception lead us to the room... all good.. the problems started, when we realised there is no wi-fi signal in our room, used vanity in the drawer and dirty bathroom.. then dinner, big disaster.. waitress without any training, she seems to be out of reality.. coma 2 times to make sure what we ordered... (maybe if you get her pad will be easier for her).. next to our table was couple of dead insects, it didn't help to enjoy our dinner more... food was very bad, in mine was two pieces of meat and arrived cold, for £13 i expected much better food.. there was only 3 main meals on the menu so we thought it will be something amazingly good.. didn't happened.. when i said to lady, that the food is big disappointment, she said sorry, took it away and that was it... on the other day we found out you made us pay for it, which is ridiculous but as we were in a hurry, we just let it go... and breakfast.. nice english breakfast meal, nothing special, just usual food in england... my girlfriend didn't feel well that morning so she had only coffee, and you made us to pay for 2 full breakfasts... as I said, our visit was one big disappointment and we won't come back again...
Personal attention was superb everything else was very good
perhaps slightly isolated as we like to explore around and about
Friendly and helpful management and staff. Excellent breakfast and evening meals. Great place to stay. Hope to stay again in the future.
Steve and Timer woods were very accomadating and helpful. We could not have asked for any better service. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was lovely, and a good range of food. Great location over looking acres of land. What you see on their website, is exactly what get. We will deffinalty be returning with friends and family!
Absolutely wonderful time away. Gorgeous hotel with friendly staff who made the whole stay delightful and added a personal touch 10/10. Will definitely be recommending the waterhouse!
We really enjoyed our one night stay at Waterhouse. We had a problem with one of the bicycles we had hired for the day. The managers showed exceptional service when dealing with this issue.
Lovely room. Friendly helpful staff. Beautiful surroundings.
Our room was wonderful and the setting is idyllic. Booked as a last minute getaway we literally didn't arrive until 8:15 in the evening but as we had spoken to the manageress earlier to say we may arrive late, a booking for our evening meal was taken. The food was amazing. Would highly recommend for a quiet stay.
