Location and professional staff
Only a few miles from Odd Down park and ride, great looking place.
Didn't realise didn't serve evening meal but taxi was only £10 into Bath where we had a great night.
Staff were lovely - nothing too much trouble. Clean comfortable room, would highly recommend this hotel.
Breakfast was super, lovely views and helpful staff.
Despite clearly advertising a lounge bar on the website there is no bar on the premises, we felt more than a bit mislead. There were also no public rooms open in the evening so when we returned at about 9.45pm, all was in darkness and our only option was a bottle of wine from room service.
wonderful welcome, comfortable bedrooms with excellent facilities. Marvellous home cooked breakfast. Definitely return again.
Nothing everything perfect!
Beautiful old building, comfy beds and very helpful staff.
Location - beautifully located in the middle of nowhere. Completely silent at night which was bliss. Staff were diligent and helpful
No bath Room was out of the range of wifi which, ordinarily wouldnt be an issue but given that this property is in the middle of nowhere there is no phone signal either.
beautiful surroundings very friendly and helpful staff
Very nice picturesque hotel in lovely grounds.
A little out of the way for what we wanted as had to rely on taxi's into the City. Also could have done with having a bar downstairs.
Lovely spacious, clean, comfortable and modern rooms. Little village nearby had an excellent pub and the staff directed us on a great and adventurous cross country walk to reach it. Lots of fun.
At first Waterhouse seemed to be a distance from Bath but this perception was not true and it proved to be a delightful retreat.
Beautiful location Peaceful rural setting
No biscuits in the room. No shower cap. Small room. Breakfast not included. View from our room.
Liked the friendly nature of the staff - couldn't do enough to keep us happy!
Only downside was that they don't do an evening meal and the nearest pub is down a dark and muddy track. Not their fault, but be prepared for it!
Two nights here while we took in the sights of Bath. We had a car and you would need one as it's 10-15 minutes from town. I would stay here just for the cooked breakfast which was included. Cooked to perfection on both occasions. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the wifi (free) works a bomb (i.e. Excellent!!) We went to the recommended pub for dinner which was also excellent though we got there quite late and they could only do a couple of dishes. It is quite a trek though and you will need a torch if you're making your way back after dark. Highly recommended
Be aware that this hotel while excellent is not in Bath as Booking.com would suggest. It's in Monkton Combe.
An attractive house at the end of a quiet lane. A good large room with a view from the room - across the valley. Easy parking. Friendly staff. Good hearty breakfast
Hotel so quiet that it felt deserted. Perhaps a bit too far from the centre. Poor choice of channels on TV
Room decoration, nice pillows, clean airy and very elegant rooms, big bathroom, great customer service, amazing location away from busy Bath but close enough to have a nice dinner
No bar or restaurant in the hotel
Waiting for 20minutes at reception with no one there. I had to go find staff to help. Room was not ready. Room looks nothing like online pictures.
Nice building in a secluded valley, handy for Bath. Comfortable, clean interior. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast.
Modern business-like interior, somewhat lacking in character. Lack of phone signal and no telephone in the room.
Although we booked before travelling we knew the cost of the room we were disapointed that the facilities didn't match the cost. Far too expensive.
We arrived to our room key left on the front desk with a note for us to see ourselves to our room, no staff were anywhere to be seen!! After a long drive we were looking forward to a dinner in the hotel and a few drinks in the bar but everything was shut and there was no staff to be found so we had to get back in the car and drive into town - not impressed!!
Location excellent and staff nice.
No restaurant or bar/lounge/pool/gym - so not 4* in my opinion
The hotel is set in lovely grounds and is convenient for Wick Farm weddings
The manager was rude, rooms unclean and shower broken and the breakfast was sadly under-cooked causing issues later that day
Fabulous decor and surroundings, close to town. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was fantastic
The room was perfect for short stays, friendly staff, very clean & really good quality for money.
We didn't travel with a car and the hotel was a bit far from Bath, spent quite a lot more than expected on taxis. Good location when driving!
The staff we're very nice. The facility is in good condition and clean. Loved the English breakfast! Would definitely stay again.
Make sure you pay attention to the directions they give you to find the place. At night in the dark and rain it was a challenging navigating the small roads, but had we gone in the daytime, there would have been no issues.
Very friendly country hotel in a perfect location. Excellent breakfast. Perfect poached eggs!
