Got key to wrong room first time, water not hot, over all factors made it not a place to target any time soon.
Had a convention in so very busy for breakfast at 9.30. No tables and had to eat in bar, also had long wait for eggs and not much of other items left.
The hotel staff were extremely friendly & helpful & the room was adequate & clean. The hotel is situated by the grand union canal, easy walking distance to good pub for lunch/dinner but also a short taxi ride into Berkhamsted & it's restaurants.
The bar & restaurant area was very small & can't accommodate all it's guests. We would have spent more time ( & money) if we had been able to sit down !
Hotel was clean. Breakfast nice, staff attentive. However, language problem with reception. Pleasant but struggled to be understood.
Shower was,nt hot enough. Couldn't be bothered complaining due to language problem.
Plenty of parking and very clean. Overall feeling of the hotel is that of a Premier Inn. Staff helpful and friendly. Bedrooms well equipped and extremely clean.
Breakfast was a disaster.Nowhere to sit ,no hot food to eat and very noisy. Dining area to small for the number of rooms.
Detailed above poor comprehension of English poor service. Poor quality food food cold no hospitality. Experienced staff
Despite the hotel being hyper- busy I found that I was dealt with promptly on arrival and was hardly aware of the intense activity elsewhere.
Separation required between residents parking and the large number of visitors.
Bed and duvet OK Millstream sound Pillows OK
Shower curtain too short WC bowl too close to radiator Seat too small, could not sit square on seat,M&F. Only one suitcase rack Waiter pouring tea dregs from teapot Scrambled egg instead of fried or poached .DIY toast.
The place has beautiful surroundings
No shampoo or conditioner in our room
Warm welcome at reception, good room, excellent breakfast.
efficient and courteous. checkin/out. punctual room service quiet location Many thanks
The beautiful, relaxing scenary & welcoming staff. An enjoyable stay.
Very friendly staff.
The breakfast is too expensive.
Staff helpful when I took ill.
Being woken before 6 am by noise like giant bluebottles. Turned out to be the radiator. We couldn't correct it. It was reported when we left. Otherwise quiet room
The staff were very friendly and I was suitable impressed with everything to be honest. The location is quite nice and the food was of ok quality. it's not the Ritz but then for the price it's perfectly fit for purpose. The rooms were clean and more than large enough for one person staying overnight.
Nice clean and spacious bedroom Friendly staff good location
Buffet breakfast a bit uninspiring. Not a patch on the breakfast served at the nearby Hemel Hempstead premier inn
friendly and helpful staff and relaxed atmosphere
Noise from water beneath bedroom window
Pleasant location Clean and comfortable
Shower not very good We rolled to the middle of the bed"
staff very friendly and helpful , free wifi
not very modern - the mill is loud - typical english, style from the 80th...
Staff pleasant and friendly. Breakfast enjoyable. Location good for Berkhamsted and motorway connections but far enough away from noise.
Room overwarm even with radiator turned off.
The hotel was comfortable, clean and convenient. The bedroom sufficient, breakfast was plentiful and very varied in choice.
If one books an hotel called "Watermill" one should expect the sound of water.
