Score from 533 reviews Good
advantages: Nice owner Low price Good location and connection with the city centre and Heathrow airport
Disadvantages: -Bathroom had fungi and was not well maintained -Dirty bedding (stains on sheets) -Morning cleaning, after 8:30 the cleaner was knocking the door each 15 minutes, even though I told her that we don't want cleaning - quality of cleaning - BREAKFAST WAS A JOKE, described as continental included UHT milk, half year old cereal, pack of biscuits, butter, jam and small orange juice. I didn't even touch the breakfast.
We required a place with early morning check in, close to public transport links, and easy access to the motorway network and the Waterside fitted the bill perfectly.
The bathroom was a little snug.
Noisey in the morning got a knock on door just after 9. Asked if i wanted room serviced i said i was still in bed. I got back layer and room had not been cleaned or bed made. I stayed two nights, not good if you go to a function and want a lay in. Also check out 0930 which is rediculous.
Separate self catering 'cottages'. Pleasant gardens and private patio. The proximity to LHR and location on a bus route.
The struggle to find parking. The clutter of useless cheap decorations and furniture in the room, grounds and pool area. The constant noise running water noise. The cleaner banging on the door at 9 am to clean despite our insistence we did not want cleaning. The long walk through the entire place, rain or shine, with luggage to the sheds. Awful pillows and duvets.
staff and location
bathroom and room too small
My three daughters had a better room than me to the front of the house. But due to the age of the buildings again the en-suite bathroom had a smell of musty which was not pleasant. It was clean and staff were nice it just wasn't the best that I have stayed in . I would just say its fairly cheap so may be this reflects to age of .the rooms
My son and I slept in room 6 round the back of the property. The out buildings have flat roofs I found the room had a strong musty smell. Because of this I could not sleep . I booked this bed breakfast as it had a pool in the hope for good weather.
from the moment we arrived we were made welcome. staff were helpful, room clean, nothing was too much trouble, would go there again, when in the area. frances & roy webber.
When we arrived we couldn't believe it! We had booked the room only a few days before and it looked too good to be true....except it was true! Great place, i would definitely stay there again no hesitation.
It's a little bit out of the way, but with a bus stop right outside it doesn't really matter.
We had reserved our family room, for 4 people, over 3 months prior to the date of our stay. On arrival, we were informed that another family were in our room and they were only able to accommodate 2 of us. Having taken our son and daughter, to spend the night at his rented house, we returned to discover our ensuite toilet had not been cleaned, since the previous guest. Standard of breakfast also very poor.
Parking on non secured site. Dirty crockery and cutlery. Very small dark room with uncomfortable strecher beds.
Toilette space and conditions
all was very good and friendly people around
The place was cute and comfortable but the breakfast was just cereal and milk and juice. There was no fruit or much else. There were old half-eaten crackers in the drawer.
The room was awful. Hot and smelly. The en-suite facilities were very poor. The towels weren't changed and were still damp.
It's was quiet, so a good nights sleep.
Room was small, extra 5% charge for payment by credit card, not mentioned on booking.com site.
Beautiful hotel home and staff, the pool was very clean and was made to feel welcome and at ease, the use of all facilities was great including the BBQ. Had beautiful weather. Was quiet and honestly felt like we was abroad, will Definatley be back.
Our room was hot but this was down to the heat the weekend but was given 2 fans to assist with the heat. Nothing to complain about.
Garden was well cared for & close to M25, Heathrow and hospital.
Everything else was way under standard - most backpackers have more space than this place. No room for suitcases, bathroom was ugh, tea and coffee supplies minimal, welcome none existent - owner out, no one to meet and greet for over 30 mins. Never use again...........
The only good thing about this b&b was the location.Nice stroll to a good British pub. Couldn't wait to leave in the morning.
- The nice garden/open space - The family environment without interfering with your privacy
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had the cabin which was cozy and comfortable.
3 single beds, the pool looked great but didn't have time for a swim, room was clean and the beds were comfy, friendly staff, free parking was brilliant and nice little choice of breakfast in the room
the shower was horrible, head very limescaley and there wasn't enough room to fit into the shower without getting your hair wet. A new electric shower would of been perfect
Very accommodating, we needed 3 rooms. Family room in converted garage was very spacious as was the twin room by the pool. Double room at the back a bit small. Cannot fault the staff, very nice and couldn't be more helpful. Should have brought my swimware, would love to have got in the pool. Tables and seating all around the pool and table football aswell. I would recommend a visit to this very unusual accommodation be it one night or for a week.
The downside is the cleaning is not perfect and the ventilation needs to be sorted out in the rooms as using the shower creates damp throughtout the room making the bed feel damp. We were a bit shocked by the "breakfast", 2 cereal dispencers on the bedroom wall and packets of things in a bowl. This wasnt mentioned in the web page. Had been looking forward to a full english.
It was a really nice room and as we had requested. Bathroom had ample space and the heat was on. The room had plenty if breakfast items as well.
There was nothing i didnt like.
Shed in the garden Cold, damp, TV didn't work in the rain Shower was freezing cold or burning hot Look before you agree to pay
