Location and staff were very positive bearing in mind what they have at there disposal. The rooms were very tired and need an urgent refurbish, this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in,thank god it was only for one night. This Hotel should never have a 3 star rating.

It was hard to find. Not in Peterhead at all but way out. The room was very average and the pillows were so thin. Everything looked tired and run down. We were charged 69 pounds for a room which we though was excessive and then they had the gall to charge us 2 pounds because we paid by credit card. We won't be recommending this place to anyone.

The staff went out of their way to provide sandwiches after I arrived at 11pm, long after the kitchen had closed. They quickly organised an alternative taxi after the arranged cab failed to arrive at the pre-booked time of 5am. I was quoted £159 for a family room, online. Upon arrival, the room had only one double bed and was entirely unsuitable for myself and my colleague. Returning to reception, we were provided with a twin room with single beds. However, on checking out, I was charged £179 for the room. When challenged, the desk staff were unable to provide a reasonable justification for the increased charge. They were also unable to produce a room tariff upon request, claiming that they didn't have one. This was entirely unsatisfactory.

Food acceptable but not gourmet. Nice breakfast. Slow and unprofessional waiter service let it down. Beautiful river view. Great powerful shower, so rare nowadays. Tired, needs refurbishment Smell of gym and pool in corridors leading to bedrooms Staff are complacent and lacking customer service skills. Hotel caters for offshore crews and sets its level there

Initial contact was poor. Room allocated was shabby and wifi offered did not work. When I requested another room I was told only rooms with 1 double bed available. As I was travelling with my sister this was not suitable. When I indicated I would not be remaining for the second night that I had booked a different staff member offered me another room with both a double and single bed. The cost did not equate to the poor standard of the room. The food and wine was also over priced for the rather poor standard.

Nothing Poor tv reception. Channels available on menu were not. Intermittent WiFi. No direct number to reception. Had to phone premium rate call centre number. Shower did not work. Bathroom tiles etc were shoddy. Hotel looks very tired. Missed breakfast as was only one person on reception and was big queue to check out. Shocking room rate of £106 B&B, which I did not get.

In the room they had a tag to hang on the room door for a continental breakfast to be delivered to your room if required. I filled this in put it on the room door but it was still there in the morning when I left. Whats the point having this label if it is not part of the service

Food was nice, spa was ok Very dated, in need of a make over. Had to wait at reception to check in and check out, reception staff too busy discussing previous customers bill instead of dealing with waiting customers.

Friendly staff Excellent food Overheated rooms Worn out carpeting and furniture Bathroom plumbing and floors in need of attention The accommodation area badly in need of modernisation Badly potholed car park Room change requsted (and granted ) because of banging radiator and stained sheet. On return to original room it was seen that the same (slept on)sheet had been put back on the bed for the next guest.obvious lack of communication between reception and cleaning staff.

Nothing of any note. The leisure facilities were ok. Check in slow and check out extremely slow! The rooms are very dated! Tv's etc are 20 years old and the last refit was the same time I'm guessing. Needs serious modernisation!

Hotel staff were helpful although overworked. Food was good but breakfast buffet was not hot and not replenished quickly when exhausted. Outside of Hotel had not been swept for a considerable time and was polluted with cigarette ends and discarded food containers. Although wi-fi was advertised, none was working. The serving staff and kitchen could not cope with the number of guests staying. Our second day breakfast was taken in a lounge, some 30 metres from the buffet service. Room furniture and fittings were worn and in need of renewal. The TV was ancient and did not display the programmes advertised as available. Our room contained no information on hotel facilities so we knew nothing of sauna, gym or pool facilities. We were advised that the hotel had recently changed hands and things would improve. We certainly hope so!
