I really liked the layout of the hotel and the room had a beautiful view over the water. The staff were very pleasant, the quality of the food was excellent and the quantity defies description!
Lovely place with wonderful views, room nice and comfy. Really friendly and helpful staff. Food excellent. Will definately be back !
The food was excellent.
The place is a little tired and needs some updating
Staff were very kind and friendly, food very good with an excellent selection. Room was spacious and pleasant, nicely furnished with everything I needed. Bathroom was very clean and smart (apart from the shower). I felt well looked after and I'm looking forward to going again with my family.
Shower needed sprucing up, especially the corners which are a bit mouldy and the shower drained very slowly and maybe some new towels?
fishing was hard but rewarding. great food very friendly staff
It was like home from home and had a pleasant weekend we are coming back next year for the races again
Lovely location, my room was beautiful both times I have stayed there and overlooked the lake. Food was lovely, staff very helpful and friendly. Will definitely go back and explore more of the countryside
breakfast was very good and also substantial to set up for the day staff were helpful and friendly rural location very good night sleep
food was amazing staff were friendly
tv didn't work shower!
Food excellent, staff friendly and helpful.
Lighting at night minimal after 11pm. In fact part of the route to the car park was pitch black. This made retrieving things from the car difficult if not dangerous, especially since I arrived after dark and had not seen the layout in daylight.
Travelling from south Hampshire to Gloucestershire we needed a resting place near our destination. Watersmeet was convenient and an OK place.
We didn't stay long enough to find out. We were at our destination for the whole evening and only used Watersmeet for sleep and breakfast.
I loved the staff! Each person was so friendly and helpful and went out of their way to assist me in every way. The breakfast was wonderful and abundant. When I explained that I didn't want the sausage or bacon, they came out with a vegetarian burger which was delicious! Things like that make the stay a special one.
the room had not been cleaned cobwebs dust the bath was chipped on base and had turned rusty. it smelt musty . we declined to stay at this venue reception agreed it was not up to standard
The amount of cobwebs in the room Poor water flow to shower and bath
Food was excellent value for money staff was very friendly and helpful would stay again
The fact that we walked out
Room dirty, bedding revolting with stains and very old thin sheets. Bathroom ceiling not painted - covered in mould. Blinds filthy. Shower rail rusty. Pictures of proof taken.
Food was excellent, potion size and quality. Staff very friendly, helpful and nothing too much trouble.
Room leaked when it it rained
Comfort, location, very good food.
The people that run Watersmeet. It is very tired; however the hospitality could not be faulted, they put their all into it. We had a perfectly reasonable room for the money and the food is good...and a huge amount. It Is a great venue for hungry Course fishermen!
We would not choose to stay there if we were doing anything other than attending a local event. The shower wasn't and forget the bath because by the time it filled up we lost the will to live!, The television only liked Sky news.
Staff were excellent and friendly, food very tasty with very generous portions. A good selection of beers.
The rooms and accommodation area is getting a bit tired and would benefit from a good clean and refurbishment.
The breakfast was the biggest and best I have had in a long time.
Room needed a little TLC.
Food was good.
Stair case on the outside of the building to our room was rotten and falling apart.Balcony's floor tiles were lose and uneven . Fire extinguishers just dumped in corners free standing. The fire Alarm button was on the wall of Room 11 which was down stairs.Diesel for generator had spilled out onto ground. We had no hot water in either rooms when this was pointed out to owner he tried to joke I had broken it.There had been no hot water all day for guest that were already checked in.He did not seem to be in any hurry to get it fixed. At breakfast next morning a member of staff a plumber was coming try and fix it.At this time we had decided to cut our break short it was very disappointing for both my son and I.Would never recommend WATERSMEET ÇOUNTRY INN FISHERY.We have photos of stairs/tiles/doors/.
The owners and staff were obliging and friendly and the bar was always busy with very nice locals. Food was excellent.
We booked a superior double room and would have expected it to have a fixed shower head, The hand held spray makes a good shower impossible.
The lager in the bar! Substantial breakfast. Friendly and prompt service.
The whole accommodation unit is old, tired and desperately in need of a refit. Shower in room 17 was not working. Bathroom in room 2 was dirty. Outside wooden staircase was rickety and worn out. OK for just one night!
