Wavecrest93 Newry Street, LL65 1HU Holyhead (Show map) Very good, Score from 71 reviews“Great value and fantastic breakfast. Excellent value for money ”

Only 300 ft from the beach, the guesthouse has a great location, just a short drive from the ferry/train terminal and a short walk from the center of town for pubs and places to eat. All rooms at Wavecrest are furnished to a high standard with tea/coffee making facilities and light snacks provided. Also in the room is a TV with Sky Sports satellite channels and either a private or shared private bathroom. The guesthouse caters for all ferry arrivals and departures. A hearty full Welsh breakfast is served each morning and can be arranged prior to ferry departures to Dublin. Late arrivals are welcome with prior notice. It is close to nice beaches and is close to a beautiful South Stack location. Hotel Rooms: 5

The staff was extremely nice and kind, very helpful and took good care of us. They were giving us good advice where to go and how to find places in Anglesey, very warm and cosy feeling while we stayed. Room was nice and neat, very cosy and very clean. Special thanks for the excellent breakfast, it was very tasteful and all our wishes regarding it were heard. I can defenately recommend this lovely B&B and will most propably choose the same one myself as well when I go there next time.

Location to city centre, ferry terminal and a walking route were very good. Also, the Wavecrest had comfortable beds. Had limited conveniences that we see at other B&Bs (in the same price range) such as shampoo, hair dryer. Although the wifi was free the signal strength in our room was weak which made it useless to use. The carpet in the room could use a good cleaning.

Great value with a big breakfast as well. Free wi-fi with free biscuits and sweets in room added a nice touch. Had free computer access to all footie games too! Owner friendly and helpful with travel info too. No bar but plenty of pubs close by.

I really enjoyed my stay at Wavecrest. It's close to railway station and the port, stuff was very nice, tasty breakfast and a very lovely atmosphere! Also it is close to everywhere in Holyhead: city centre, the beach, the mountain if you're up for a stroll. I'd totally recommend it!

As we were only using this as a stopover after the ferry and before along drive it was fair. But I would not like to stay for a holiday. It is not a hotel it is a guest house! This needs to be clearly advertised. We had to make special arrangements to get in as we were coming of the night ferry. We were put into a family room where the shower is actually in the bedroom not the bathroom, which was very uncomfortable!
