Breakfast carried a good choice of options.

Avoid Rooms 1 & 2 when there is a Disco on a Saturday night and you want an early night's sleep; it ain't gonna happen. The mattress was similar to sleeping on top of a marshmallow.

Location on the riverside is excellent. Room was comfortable and of a good size. We ate in the restaurant where the food was good value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It was a slight exaggeration to say our room had a view of the church although this in no way detracted from our stay.

A pleasant area on the river. Friendly staff. beautiful surroundings., and building. Would go again.

The accommodation is very comfortable with very nice views, which coupled with friendly staff makes for a very pleasant stay

Couldn't get hot food outside restaurant hours, not even soup at 3pm, and nothing at all after 9. No newspaper arrived.

Room needed refurbishment as looking a bit tatty. Lack of parking on Saturday night due to function, noise from revellers singing outside in car park and reception at gone midnight.

Everything was well prepared, the staff cheerful,polite and efficient, the location great by the river and my stay was relaxing and comfortable. Very highly recommended and I will be a repeat customer !

No bed for child though one had been requested prior to stay; had to wait 35 mins for breakfast first morning though only two other tables occupied by guests [received free breakfast for this]; woken at 6:00am second morning by delivery truck parked directly below our room window...

friendly staff - no nonsense - very clean & good food.

our room had a shower which was only half body height - therefore unable to stand & had to kneel in bath. Not much point in having it I thought. But on saying that bathroom & room was good.

Nice hotel location on the river side.

A bit expensive for what you get. The bar closes at 11 o clock even for hotel guests. As we couldn't get a drink at the bar we decided to get an early night but was kept awake by the disco from a wedding in the function suite going on that evening. Disco did stop around midnight.But I would have preferred to of had another drink than being forced to listen to Abba. Restaurant ok for a lunch time meal but not somewhere you would go for a special occasion. I probably won't stay at this hotel again although It is ok but only ok.

very soft beds bar area closed at 10.30pm on Sunday and was really just a breakfast area. Brightly lit and not comfortable

Very good design/conversion of historic building. Staff excellent. Efficiant and friendly without being over familiar.

No Lift and only one comfortable chair in room.

Excellent location, lovely riverside terrace. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, very clean.

The room was a bit tired, could have done with repainting. Sometimes Reception was not manned. No proper shower in the bathroom.

Superb relaxing location, friendly staff, luxury rooms and good food. And its in Beccles!

waveney house hotel is set in a lovely location on the river very peacefull lovely. the staff very helpful and friendly. all in all very nice really enjoyed our stay as it was a treat for newzealand friend.

We occupied rooms 1 & 4 and they were good size rooms and very clean and bright.

Service was a little slow for breakfast.

The hotel was a pleasant surprise. The room was attractive and clean, the hotel staff efficient, courteous and friendly. The location on the river was an added attraction as were the village bell ringers practicing in the evening. All in all we would recommend it to our friends.

We found it a bit difficult to find, but enjoyed the tour of the countywide in doing so.
