Good friendly staff, nice rooms, food and drink good value for money.
Shower was poor.
Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. A lot of attention is paid to ensuring your stay is as enjoyable as possible.
I cannot think of anything negative to say.
Staff (Reception & Breaksfast Lady/Receptionist extremely friendly. Both an asset to the business) Bathrobe in the bedroom a nice touch.
Room service food was poor. No onion rings, chips dark brown on outside, hard inside, asked for cream, got ice-cream. Bedroom decor tired, lazy (painting around fixings rather than taking them off!) Bathroom door, no handle on inside, not ideal
As a returning guest I knew the score and was recognized by some of the staff. So I knew what to expect and got it! Great breakfast.
Minor negetives would be the increase in price from what I paid in February and I get the feeling you'd be stranded if you came back late and didn't have a phone to ring the night porter.
Played pool in bar watched tv Excellent Breakfast Clean comfy room (en suite) Helpful staff ~ perfect for our needs
Draughts in Room 2. Headboards up against the single glazed windows. Blinds blowing, curtains not sufficient or wide enough to stop draughts. Slept with wooly hat on. Having to plug the kettle into socket under dressing table was not the easiest. No plug in bathroom sink. Water was exceptionally hot so couldn't cool it with mix of cold water. Cats lick was all we could manage.
From the moment I stepped inside and was greeted with a friendly face from the girl on reception to the moment I walked into my room. I can't thank all the staff enough for making my overnight stay one of the most memorable of all the hotels I've ever stayed in. The staff couldn't do enough for you, the service from the evening meal I had to my breakfast was excellent and the food was top class and I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone who wants a touch of class at an extremely cheap price. even the little touches in the room makes you feel really special from the white fluffy bath robes to the extra treats in the bathroom. I would like to thank all the staff for the comfort and cleanliness I received
Everything was more than I expected the only thing I didn't like was having to check out the following morning
Rooms where lovely staff where so friendly felt so at home and the food was excellent and the hotel was spotless will be staying there again
Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff.
Nothing. Good value and reasonable cost
The caring team at the Waverley Hotel gave me advice and support prior to arriving about taxis from the station. The room was basic but comfy with everything I needed. The food was great. Quick service and the chef was happy to cook variations requested. Reception staff were happy to help in any way they could.
staff very friendly very clean breakfast great
Staff and food excellent not a bad thing to say priced right rate it 9/10
Very polite reception staff, all rooms cleaned to a high standard. Food top quality. A definite place I will stay in again when up in Workington.
No complaints at all.
Staff were very helpful, great location, breakfast was nice.
room 6 is tiny, bed was more like a 3/4 not big enough for 2 people, couldn't open the bathroom door fully as the small bed was in the way, the bathroom floor had cracked tiles covered over with the shower mat.We were there for 1 night and didn't spend a lot of time in the room we would've struggled if our stay had been longer, it was really quit drab carpet was peeling back in need of some TLC and redecorating.
Friendly helpful staff good bar area modern and comfortable with good value for money food menu and the most amazing breakfast .
Temperature very warm throughout hotel even though the room radiator was turned off it was uncomfortably warm .our room was classed as a standard double for two occupants my husband and I are regular sized and found the room and bed on the small size don't think could have stayed more than one night in it as we were wary of turning over and ending up on the floor .some areas seemed quite dated and neglected ie the dining room which is a shame because you go from a lovely bar lounge area into the dining area which is in need of some attention or just a freshen up would greatly improve the atmosphere whilst dining .
Very friendly staff, nothing to much trouble.
Parking facilities not the best short walk
Staff were friendly and helpful Room was warm Good shower Good food
Room looked tired Room smelled like they had tried to mask the smell of smoking or pets The crockery at breakfast had huge chips in it Room was very small
The room was too small hot and uncomfortable. The floors are very noisy i could hear almost every footstep throughout the night. Had to have bedding changed on my first night. The bottom sheet had a smudge on it.
Everything was brilliant breakfast was cooked to order and perfectly done, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and the rooms were fantastic
No parking apart from on street.
Meal at wedding was lovely
Only we were going to a wedding there we wouldn't of stayed the receptionist was a waste of time we needed to get changed for wedding we couldn't have our room would not recommend .
Bedroom overhot, noisey, bed uncomfortable, small.
Breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Resources in the room. Clean bedding.
Room a little tired. Outside noise from local people at night.
Room 5 was far too warm, it was uncomfortable despite the heating not being on.
Everything staff were faultless very kind helpful and hospitable i would deffinetly stay again food was very nice and a great range of food at great prices
There was nothing not too like
