very clean and well furnished room - consideration providing bathrobes was a nice touch Liked the buffet breakfast - very relaxed My only slight issue was that the shower on the room wouldn't work properly - kept fizzling out - reported to staff.

Convenience for our needs. Breakfast very nice Staff helpful. No tea making facilities Seminar coming together during our breakfast - quite noisy! Questionnaires need to be checked for quality before placing in rooms - someone doing a job for the sake of doing it - lack of pride. A room for 2 - 1 chair.

Nothing The bar was noisy with drunks on the street being the worse for wear. The bed was uncomfortable, the breakfast had all been eaten by the 08.00 and we were not offered any more, the other guests were all up by 06.30 and the noise was tremendous.

Excellent service at a reasonable cost, in particular the 24 hour front desk for a small hotel - a life saver for unexpectedly late arrivals.

4 of us (2 couples) stayed at the Waverly as the 2 guys were cycling the Coast 2 Coast challenge. We picked the Waverly due to its location which is very close to the official starting point, secure stoage for the bicycles and other positive reviews we found on line. The hotel reception room and bar were bright and fresh and the bar itself warm and friendly. Access from reception to the rooms is a rather narrow stairwell and corridors but not unmanageable. Our room was in serious need of refurbishment while our friend’s room had already been very nicely updated. The rooms themselves were spotless though the shower rather weak. Breakfast was a self-service affair offering a good choice cereal, juice, bread/toast, tea & coffee and well stocked hot buffet. Our room was in serious need of refurbishment while our friend’s room had already been very nicely updated. The rooms themselves were spotless though the shower rather weak.

The staff are friendly and cannot do enough for you. Meals are generous and rooms (we were right at the top of the hotel - 3rd floor) were large and clean. Think the outside of the Hotel, and the area need serious updating. To be honest if the hotel had not been pre-paid, judging by the area (very run down - virtually derelict!) We would not have stayed and found somewhere else.

The room was modern and clean. The food was excellent even though we were the only couple eating in the restaurant with ample portions of well presented food. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making sure that we had everything we needed. The area where the hotel was located was a little tired looking. There was no lift to access the rooms, and parking was on street only

The Reception Lady,Barman and Breakfast Lady were all very pleasent and helpful, which makes you feel welcome.I Also liked the fact that the Staff are very smart in their uniforms which gives the place a Proffessional well run feel. Most importantly ,the food and drink are competitively priced, the Service is fast and efficient and overall the experience is very positive.
