Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and comfortable. Good location just outside the centre of town. Overall happy with hotel. Thought breakfast would have been included. Never paid £60 a night with no breakfast.i know a lot of people wouldnt stop for that reason. Apart from that hotel excellent.

It was warm + in the centre of town.the bar lady was friendly. Our room had a disgusting bathroom. The wind was coming through the closed windows + actually blowing the curtains it was so draughty. The hotel had lots of steep stairs + no lift.Breakfast finished at 9.am,far too early. When we complain we were told that we could have had a better room but the refurbished rooms are up 3 flights of stairs + as my husband has difficulty walking so we weren't even offered one.Surely thr choice should have been ours. There is no mention on the web site that the hotel is not suitable for people with walking difficulties. When I mentioned this to the receptionist I was told there is no law that states they have to mention this. All in all a terrible hotel.

Close to railway, bus, and coach stations.shopping area nearby to.room very nice, and very clean inc. Bathroom/shower. Very noisy downstairs, from 2130, till midnight, due to entertainment on saturday night.very creaky floorboards from rooms above, spoilt nights sleep. Bit of a short cut,on road outside, for large lorries heading for the shops. Noisy traffic.

Terrible Hotel. Booked a double room and were given a twin. The receptionist/bar staff said to push the beds together as they didn't have another room available. The beds were not comfy. Neither bedside lamps worked. The room was drab and in need of updating. Overpriced. Location was odd, tucked away in an area reminiscent of backstreet Belfast in the 70s. Only booked this hotel because nothing else was available at short notice. Worst Hotel I have stayed in and as such, I do not recommend.

The room was modern and clean, and for a working man not bad, was lacking for the business traveler Parking was a ordeal and timing was needed, not the type of hotel I would normaly stay at.

The staff were fantastic and really friendly, the room had recently been up-dated and the bathroom was nice. The hotel has had some up-dating and you can see where the money has been spent, however some of the hotel you could see had not been up-dated.

Friendy and accomodating staff Overpriced room ( £60 for a room that should be hovering around the £45 mark and this was a discounted price ). Run down and broken fixtures and fittings.Self service breakfast very awkward, using poor quality ingredients. Hotel has some serious maintenance issues. Not much parking

“It really is a gem of a place in an otherwise bleak landscape. The bar is excellent, the food is excellent, the bed was excellent, and the location was excellent. The staff really couldn't have done more for you. All very friendly. I even got fantastic 3g reception (and they have free wifi too!). I got faster internet speeds on 3g here than I do from my broadband at home.” William, Marykirk |
