I was at the 7th floor at the front of the hotel (on kingsway), one of the 2 windows didn't close properly (1 inch gap) whichmeant it was very noisy and kept me awake all night as it's a very busy street. The radiator was stuck on hot which meant keeping the aircon unit on full blast all night... All in all a very noisy night!!! When I mentioned it in the morning, I was told I should have told them during the night and they would have moved me to another room... I explained that I hadn't realised when I checked in and that it was around 2.00 am when I realised, my suitcase was unpacked and I had just had a shower and did not wish to repack all my clothes and get dressed at 2.00 am... I was not even offered as much as an apology... |

friendly staff, very nice english breakfast (that was included in price), great location, large, comfortable room, good value for money considering its london and what was available that time of year, better than some 4-stars i've stayed in. would definitely stay there again had to pay small daily fee to use personal safe in the room (but could leave things with the concierge at any time at night or during the day for free), carpet in room could be replaced, very awkward shower where the wall cut diagonally across top...taller people would have a difficult time....however, this could be because I was in a room at the end of the hall. other rooms may not be like this. however, all of things things are just being picky...overall, hotel is great and recommend it. |

Staff were helpful and efficient.Although bedroom was a littlr 'tired' it was very clean. Dining/breakfast room although modern lacked any feeling of comfort. Felt more like a station buffet than a hotel! |

Situated between two underground stations and also availability of bus line made communication easy. Our room overlooked a wall so there was no outside view |

I was thrilled that when I checked in very late in the evening that they had the exact room I had asked for on my booking and Kevin, one of the concierges, even remembered me from my previous stay last April. Staying at the Waverley House is like coming home to an old friend. And I was particularly thrilled to get a single room with a lovely double bed. And I must add that this hotel is one of the most affordable in central London with air-conditioning which I actually use even in the colder months because I love cold rooms and they also can get a bit stuffy. There was also a lovely basket of goodies and a welcoming note from the manager when I first went to my room which was really wonderful. |

Effort has been made to ensure guests are comfortable. Fruit bowl in room and reasonable value. Dirty glass windows in lift - there are bad |

The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet, staff helpful, restaurant food and service good, and the location excellent for visiting historic sites and cultural institutions. |

It was very central Bed was comfortable with good pillows Appreciated the fruit basket Concierge was extremely helpful getting a taxi in the rain No magnifier or close mirror for short sighted women like me. Breakfast was good but no soya alternatives. Hosting was polite on most days but particularly abrupt on one morning Room service pizza was horrible and overpriced |

Convenient for where I wanted to be Very old - in serious need of moderisation and price totally unrealistic for the service provided. Breakfast is cramped and could only kindly be described as organised chaos, |
