I quite enjoyed my stay here. It was quiet, clean and the desk clerks were polite. I selected the hotel because it was a good quality hotel in the location I needed and I expected good service. My plans changed and I asked the clerk to cancel a reservation I had in a few days' time. I confirmed the cancellation with the desk clerk when I booked out of the hotel. I was unpleasantly surprised to be charged for a night's accommodation as a no show. I was told that their policy was that their staff could not cancel on line bookings and, because I was not told by their staff to cancel the booking on line, they charged me for the no show. They refused to discuss this, claiming it is their policy even though the reservation booking only states that cancellations 'can be' changed on line, not 'must be'. Their attitude has been hostile and very unpleasant. So be warned. This hotel will hide behind their policy when they make a mistake or mislead you and you will pay the cost. Nice, easy way for them to make money on customers who live overseas and can't easily take them to court.

The location was excellent. I work in holborn and was easily able to walk in. Covent garden very close. The attitude of the staff when the boiler failed. Discourteous and off hand. Almost made me feel that it was my fault. No offer of complimentary breakfast, reduced rate. Not even an apology

The location is great and the rooms were impeccably clean, especially the bathroom. Two free bottles of water were provided each day, along with nice mix of coffee/cocoa/cookies. I had booked two rooms for four people in total. When I arrived, two of my friends had already checked in. The man at the front desk said that there was no room for me because booking.com made a mistake. I had all of my paperwork from booking.com so I know all was done correctly. He spent more time trying to explain how he knew booking.com was the wrong party instead of helping us resolve the situation. Finally, he got to the real point at hand-my room, and he had found a room for me although made a point that somebody checkin in on Saturday night would have no room. My friends' room was definitely a handicapped-accessible room due to low height/small size of sink and the weird shower that was basically the entire floor of bathroom. However, the man at the desk kept insisting their room was just like all other rooms. Additionally, our room had no window and the wall air conditioning unit was not functioning properly.

Location was really good. Staff really friendly, Marcin was extremely helpful in helping us to find a particular location and gave us a map to find our way around. Breakfast was expensive so decided to go to local cafes which are nearby. Scaffolding up around the hotel but this was no bother as I'm not going to look at it when in the hotel! All in all a pleasant stay!

Have just stayed here with a friend and wanted to say how friendly all the staff were and how nice the room was! I have high standards (4- 5starplus!) and this hotel definitely lived up to them in fact it was so clean, modern and comfortable! Really lovely room! Only downside it has temporary scaffolding at the moment but we didnt come to london for the view! Just a lovely hotel in a fab location at a fab price! Really near both russell square and holborn tubes and only approx 15mins walk to leceister square.

The clean room and excellent service of the staff. Our room was at the back of the hotel and it was quite even with a window open. We did not like the cost for breakfast and went to a cafe around the corner and paid £12 for 2 persons and the breakfast was good.

I got upgraded from a single to a double room. The hotel had just been refurbished and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. As the refurbishment was still going on, room service wasn't available.

The room was fairly clean. Nice lights. Horrible experience! I would never stay at this hotel again. The fire alarm rang twice at around 3am. The cleaner came to knock at the door at 9 am. The toilet seat is in the corner between the window and the sink, which makes a small place. Me and my friend got hit by the sink a few times. The shower was loose.

. I had booked the hotel for my sisters birthday and there was a card and bottle of wine in the room for us. The room was very comfortable and clean and all the staff were really nice and helpful. Definitely somewhere I would recommend, just along the road from the theatres and plenty of places to eat along the way. This is not something that bothered us but if a family were staying it would worry me that the windows were not locked and opened fully, great for adults, no so good if you have children.

From the moment we arrived we were well looked after. The staff were friendly and helpful, the triple room was lovely, clean and well presented. Nice clean bathroom with bath and good shower. Well stocked hospitality tray, even an iron and board in the wardrobe! Cannot speak highly enough of the Reception Staff and Consierge all of whom went that extra mile to ensure our stay was perfect. The reason for my stay was an 80th Birthday surprise for my Mother with my Sister, and I have to say, the whole Mersure Bloomsbury experience was super and contributed greatly to a thoroughly memorable experience for the three of us. Thank you!
