Helpfulness of staff Had a very disturbed night caused by other guests at hotel. Hotel guests were smoking in corridors and being generally loud and using foul language due to alcohol. On contacting hotle security they dealt quickly with the situation. As a result of this I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a family and certainly wouldn't take my young children . |

This was our third visit to the hotel. The staff were very polite and helpful and the buffet breakfast was comprehensive and good quality. Despite refurbishment work on other floors, the hotel was very clean in all areas. The only drawback is the traffic noise when bedroom windows are open but this applies to almost all central hotels in London. |

I enjoyed a quiet and comfortable stay at this well situated hotel. The breakfast was consistently delicious. The room needed renovations that are currently underway in other parts of the hotel. |

Good food, attentive staff. Door key didn't work. Early morning noise as at present work being done on lower floors. The Room Cleaning Supervisor bad tempered in front of guests. |

Although the ground and first floor are being refurbished, that was not a problem with our stay. The double room we stayed in was beautifully decorated, clean and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money, the breakfast next morning was great. We stayed there for business purposes. Will definitely stay there again and recommend it. The only problem was with the hair dryer which needs attention. Hair dryer needs mending. |

The staff were courteous and helpful, breakfast was good in spite of pressure from lack of seating room. Room was shabby and carpet was torn and rucked. Bed was solid shower was impossible to stand in if you were taller than 3' (approx.). |

We found it a very good location, convenient for central London and the British Museum Rooms badly in need of renovation. The shower could not be regulated to a reasonable temperature - either stone cold or scalding hot. Completely unacceptable in any hotel and more so in a hotel of this class and price. |

The sheets on the bed were clean and crisp and the bed was comfortable even though it was old. The place is tired and tatty and too expensive for what it delivers. It was obviously once a big player but is now way out of date and everything seems frayed around the edges. Even though the staff were polite, they too looked and acted tired and as if they couldn't really be bothered. Towels in the bathroom seemed ancient though still hanging onto their once white claim. Noise in corridors was extensive after midnight. Expensive for what it delivered. |

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious, with plenty of room for 3 adults. We ordered room sevice and staff were very pleasent. The breakfast also offered a good choice of food, from fresh fruit to a full english. |

Helpful reception & concierge. Good inclusive breakfast and value for money lunch in Dean's Brasserie. Comfortably sized room and bathroom. No disturbance from the the refurbishment at the week end. The restaurant was closed presumably as part of the refurbishment. Ask how to operate the shower in the bath as it is not obvious. |

The hotel had a great location, close to the British Museum and to Russell Square Underground Station. The carpet in my room was ripped and I couldn't completely open the door of my room |

It's location is very central, you can practically walk to 3-5 train tube stations. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing is it might do better with newer furnitures. Otherwise I've no complaints and could not wish for a better hotel for this price. |

The staff on reception made eye contact, were courteous and took the trouble to go outsixde to call me a taxi when I needed some help. The Times I ordered did not materialise. (However the Telegraph was available). |
