The staff is wonderful! Great location! Beds are comfortable! I stay here every time I'm in London!
Very friendly service,clean and comfortable.
Close to road and a lot of traffic noise at night
clean, good elevator, friendly staff
breakfast at weekend was too crowded, staff couldnt speak good english and got order wrong
Close to Euston, Covent Garden and the British Museum. Good breakfast.
A small twin room View of a brick wall to the rear.
The free wifi and the location
the tiny bed, the soft mattress, the loo roll holder on the opposite side of the bathroom from the loo and the shower head that was so high I could not adjust it.
The staff are very nice.
Modern hotel, professional staff.
Small dimensions of the double room, but then its London.
Very polite and helpful staff(credits go to Mr Marcin at the reception desk who is an excellent professional) I asked for a quiet room in advance which was the most important for me(when I booked the room through booking.com-my purpose of stay was exams) and that is what I got-despite my anxiety I had a quiet sleep..Very clean, warm hotel and the a la carte restaurant is worth a try if you stay there.. There was functional free wifi at the room which was on the 4rth floor!!..
Breakfast could be better but at this price range it is relevant.. No smoking rooms..
Very noisy until the early hours with inconsiderate guests shouting and slamming doors
excellent hotel, good staff very friendly. I will stay here again.
Location was good
We booked a classic double thru' booking.com and we got a small double i.e a 4 foot bed not a double bed So just make sure you get what you have paid for because we did not.
Nothing was too much trouble for the reception staff.
We liked the location and the friendliness of the staff.
Didn't like the fact that when we got there they had my reservation in my name but my address was about 300 miles away, and this might have led to them loosing my luggage when we dropped them off early and returned later to check in, it took about 1.5hours to locate it .
Booked via 3rd party site which didn't communicate our request to the hotel for an early check-in. Staff did their best and accommodated us with very little wait.
Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful The lift was useful Easy to find one's way from the hotel to where we were going
The corridors did not smell fresh The room was a bit cramped and the windows wouldn't open very wide The breakfast was overpriced
The front desk staff were extremely helpful
The double room for daughters room was very crowded with a baby cot and the bed should only be used for 1 person
A very strong smell of mould in the room and corridor. The so-called air conditioning was a noisy machine blowing icy air. Therefore air in the room either cold and windy, or bad and stuffy. Cupboard very strongly perfumed. Room practically windowless, as you couldn't see through the white glass. No way of blocking noise from the corridor, as there was 5 cm of open space between the door and the floor, with no treshold. A cockroach in the bathroom. Extremely overprized.
This Standard twin room (room 615) is much bigger and better than expected. Believe small double room is really small that better avoid My room is at the back which is really quiet even with windows open, wifi is good, "Subway", "Starbucks" and "Pret A Manger" are around the corner.
The bed is too soft, feel like a water bed.
The main elevator was often broken Bed moved around and were very small
Location of the hotel is very good. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes close to the hotel. A real ale pub next door! The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are clean with lots of facilities. Good that you can switch the air conditioning on and off when you want.
As soon we checked in staff were more than happy to help us find our way around and were very friendly. Excellent standard but clean well equipped room. Comfortable beds.
Leaving! Price (although competitive)
friendly and helpful staff,we went for a meal in covent garden at night which we could easily walk to from the hotel .very nice breakfast.
Extremely small single room - mark on paintwork of wall by bed iron but no ironing board Chef was late turning up for work on Thursday 4th September so had to wait for the cooked breakfast - which was a problem as course in another London hotel started at 8am sharp.
Very friendly and efficient staff, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast selection.
On second morning I took breakfast at 7am and the hot components were not ready yet.
The staff were friendly and efficient.
The road noise. I was on the first floor facing Southampton Row and the noise all night was appalling. The double glazing was not effective. There was no air conditioning in the room and the cooling fan was not very effective. On a warm night when you had to have the windows closed, it made it impossible to sleep. The mattress obviously hadn't been renewed for several years. It was soft and lumpy and did nothing to support my back.
