noise from road at night
Hotel has had a makeover which cheered it up which was badly needed however the decor was very dated too many moose heads and fish on the walls it had a very masculine feel about it otherwise all good
Prices in restaurant were expensive for fairly ordinary food. Felt we were rushed by the waitress at breakfast clearing table before we were finished eating and seemed to be hovering around us. Breakfast was poor as well
Stayed here before and like the location near to the Broads. Hotel food has always been excellent. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
The deer heads in the breakfast room which Marco Pierre White obviously does like so who am I to argue!?!?
Lovely position overlooking the river. Good restaurant menu, reasonably priced, well cooked and presented.
The traffic on the main road could disturb light sleepers.....but it didn't keep me awake!
Pretty, rooms were fairly comfortable,
On noisy main road, as it was warm we wnted window open, but it was too noisy from traffic
Hotel was on a lovely position and was very comfortable. Lovely breakfast and very helpful staff.
Enjoyed our stay and staff were excellent but feel the décor in the bedroom and bathroom was in need of freshening up.The lounge and bedroom lighting was poor unable to read a newspaper or book quite gloomy
Everything staff the whole package
Location Staff were great
Main function rooms were good Private room was tired, worn carpet, pretty basic furnishings
The location was very good hotel was clean food was good .
Staff didn't help or show me to my room as i couldn't find my room and i had my 5 year old son with me too staff seemed like they didn't have time for you .
Rooms where clean and most over look the river. Food menu was very good - but be aware very big portions. Would definetely stay here again when in the area
you can hear the noise of the traffic from the busy road near, but it didnt bother us at all, but might others. Breakfast was good, but there only appeared to me one person serving everyone and she was rushed off her feet. A few of us at breakfast remarked on this. But she did very well to keep up.
Disabled room Smell of urine Seating to dark to read Food poor and to dear and needed side dishes at extra cost to make make up a meal
Very dark inside. Food inedible. Bedrooms from the dark ages. Severe road noise.
unusual décor breakfast
limited dinner menu and indifferent food - was told no seats in dining room when there appeared to be - so we ate in gloomy bar expensive for what it was.
Friendly staff particularly helpful on bookingl
Smell of bleach in morning
Convenient location, reasonable price.
Very uncomfortable seating in bar/ breakfast room and restaurant which takes pleasure out of eating there Tired and dated decor in rooms. Poor and unreliable Wi-Fi.
I liked the theme of the hotel, it was clean and the staff very helpful and freindly. The location for the broads is exceptionally good, great access and car parking. I would definitely return in the future.
Food was expensive and the quality not up to par. I realise its a Marco Pierr white hotel but it should be in line with other restaraunts. the hotel has no lift and we wer on the opper floor and had to carry our cases up narrow corridoors. The free internet was slow and virtually non existant!
Bed was very soft
very friendly staff, beautiful location will deffo stay again x
wifi not good, a little pricey x
Very good breakfast.
Some of the communal areas were very dark.
Good quality hotel! Food in restaurant was good.
The prices in the restaurant are very expensive
The Hotel was in a pretty good location for touring round either the broads or the north norfolk coast (Cromer is about 15 miles away) The facilities and the food are particularly good. Staff on the whole were helpful and pleasant.
We didn't sleep too well because of a very uncomfortable mattress. Although my mum in law who slept in the room next door had a good mattress. Internet connection is patchy and the road outside is a little noisy.
Food and staff are lovely.
Room is very basic could do with doing up like the rest of the place.
The Hotel was newly decorated and had a nice ambiance. The rooms were large and comfortable.
The breakfast was poorly cooked and badly served. Insufficient levels of staffing. Staff obviously inexperienced.
