The Oaklands Hotel is set in its own grounds on the outskirts of Norwich. Overlooking the beautiful Yare River Valley, Norwich Station and city centre are 5 minutes’ drive away.

Situated in the heart of the Norfolk Broads, Hotel Wroxham is just 8 miles from Norwich city centre and 30 minutes' drive from the North Norfolk coast. The hotel also boasts views over the River Bure....

Good location and good sized rooms. Quite quiet inside hotel and staff pleasant.
The redesigned public areas are appalling, dark and dingy with too many stuffed animal heads and fish in breakfast room. Dining chairs apparently from 1960's transport café were uncomfortable. Interior designer either needs lot more experience or to carry out the job when sober! Would not find the dining areas suitable for "dining out" probably better to stick to the bar!
I was told wi fi available in rooms but after putting password in did not work You had to sit at the bar and use the wifi for the credit card machine
The quirky lounges, the masses of pictures, lovely breakfast and dining room. Excellent choices for breakfast
Not enough evening food options for non meat eaters
The situation and the views of the Norfolk broads, food was excellent. Staff really really helpful and friendly
Friendly staff and good food at reasonable prices
Pleasant hotel, clean and comfortable.
Free bar football tables
The fire alarm peeped 24hours per day every 7 seconds outside rooms 10 11 12 and requires repairing manager was aware of this by the time we left so hopefully it should be repaired by now
Good regarding ambience, lounge fire, staff, food specials, breakfast, appearance of hotel, room standard, parking, location.
The fact that wi fi was only available in just one or two areas of the hotel, with no 3g in area meant almost cut off and required to leave room to make or receive calls. No sky tv Quite noisy from people on 2nd floor Room door lock difficult to undoo and corridor light not on late made entry more tricky
Really warm welcome, both from the open fire and the staff. Room sorted, bags dropped, pint and dinner in hand within minutes of walking in. Alround nice.
Only downside being the wireless wasn't working ... had to ignore emails for a night (not entirely bad).
Travelled from south wales to pick up 2 spaniel puppies. Hotel just a few minutes from our destination provided us with a good nights sleep before the long journey home. Lovely sitting area with plenty of books to choose from and room was nicely decorated. Good choice of breakfast and a pleasant stay altogether.
Nothing to dislike. All good.
Breakfasts lovely and all restaurant portions good. Menu could do with a few more items if staying longer than a couple of nights choice could be limiting
clean, good location, nice powerful shower, will use again in future.
Found the bed to soft.
The hotel was excellent before the changes introduced by the new owner
The new décor, menu increased prices, uncomfortable dining chairs, worn-out mattresses.
The Restaurant The Location The Bar
The Bathroom too small. The Shower no water
Room was clean and comforable. The staff were friendly and helpful
There was no proper reception area had to book in at the bar, the breakfast was adequate only and the room had hunting trophies on the wall. Not pleasant to eat with deer heads on the wall.
Excellent food, both dinner and breakfast. Bed really comfy. Well positioned for a holiday on the Broads.
Although windows are double glazed traffic noise can still be heard, on what is a main road.
Breakfast was really good staff were friendly, would go back and recommend to friens
we arrived at midnight after driving 8 hours and were locked out, I have a disability and could have done without waiting around for over half an hour UNTILL someone arrived with a key to let us inn
Location at the Broads. Friendly staff; breakfast.
Softe beds; dining room décor with kitchen type chairs; noisy road.
A good breakfast ,
Location, evening meal very good, staff very good and helpful
Bathroom shower problems. Streaky bacon with English breakfast is not acceptable and abominable sausage, decor in breakfast room.
Resturant was excellent with great service, the general surroundings were clean and relaxing, with an excellent games room and reading room. The breakfast was outstanding for a full English.
Bar area is also the check in check out area and can be busy.
We were celebrating a momentous family birthday and they went out of their way to accommodate our requests. The location for us was good as a meeting point for people from various parts of the country. We liked the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Breakfast variety was good and the food was very tasty.
The residential area is showing its age. It is a long time since it was refurbished and it looks quite tired. The bathroom in particular is in need of a major overhaul. I have never been in such a small shower cubicle. We are familiar with the old Wayford Bridge and the very recent redevelopment of the bar and restaurant areas fitted out with white subway tiles have made them cold and impersonal.
No lift available
Breakfast Bedroom Outlook from bedroom Car parking
Shower room-too small Breakfast room-tacky with dreadful tables and chairs
Bed & Breakfast - value for money
The restaurant was too pricey and absolutely no atmosphere Dining chairs very uncomfortable
