“It was quite relaxed and friendly and in a very good position with nice garden area”

Amid acres of attractive gardens and parkland, this 3-star riverside hotel in the Norfolk Broads is within reach of Norwich, Great Yarmouth and the delightful Norfolk Coast. Dating in parts from the 17th century, the hotel fronts onto the picturesque River Ant, beside the ancient crossing point at Wayford Bridge. Offering a tranquil location for vacationers and business travelers alike, many rooms offer attractive views of the river and its beautiful surroundings. Relax in either the elegant restaurant or the more informal bistro, where a variety of interesting cuisine is offered. Later, the open fire of the lounge bar offers an inviting retreat in which to unwind before bed. Hotel Rooms: 15, Hotel Chain: Recommended Hotels. Breakfast on the Friday morning Comfortable beds Clean bathroom Sufficient parking Nicely decorated and spacious room Noise and disruption from below room on Friday night Poor wifi connection Room directly above the outside smoking area and this made it very noisy We also had concerns when we saw cigarrette ends being flicked in the direction of our car Incorrect information about Saturday mornings breakfast time resulting in a 20 minute wait.

Comfortable, small hotel, room clean and comfortable. Made to feel welcome, restaraunt served good food in the evening and the breakfast was very good e.g. good quality sausages, bacon etc . We got a late deal and it was excellent value for money, would stay again. One very minor criticism was the shower, it felt cramped due to small cubicle but we only stayed one night so not a big deal.

The staff were very friendly. The location and views from room also good. In the restaurant there was confusion over table numbers felt a bit odd searching for table number that didnt exist. Would have been nice to have been shown to table.

The location was good and although near a main road, the traffic noise did not intrude. Comfortable seats in the lounge and reception area. Staff were friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. For the Friday evening meal we had the local smoked haddock and prawns in a cheese sauce. Lovely, though very rich. And on the Sunday we had the local smoked haddock with poached egg for breakfast. Delicious. Chef knows how to cook a poached egg! Slightly 'tired' deco. Rooms fairly basic. Our bed was actually uncomfortable and the pillows definitely need replacing. Evening meal vegetables overcooked and slightly soggy.

The staff overall were friendly and eager to assist. The rural setting is very relaxing. The food menu is varied, and the meals were very good. A second visit for us, and we would surely go there again.

The staff were happy, friendly and really helpful. The food was fantastic, rooms were lovely and the location was perfect for exploring Norfolk. Although not a problem for us, there was quite a bit of road noise but it depended on which side of the Hotel your room is.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful, although at times too few to ensure speedy attention, which we didn't mind at all but some may not be happy with. We had the room closest to the main road and my wife is the lightest of sleepers but the road noise was not a problem. We stayed for dinner both nights of our stay and were very happy with the quality of the food; the Steak and Ale Pie "was to die for". If you want immediate service from "conveyer belt" staff, go somwhere else and pay far more. If you want personal service from staff who genuinely care and give you their full attention at a very reasonable price, then this is the only place to go. We will certainly be coming back! When word gets round, we probably won't be able to get a booking!

The hotel was lovely. Friendly staff. Welcoming atmoshere. Excellent food and wide menu choice, good value for money and large portions. Breakfast was great, especially the haddock with poached egg. The room was a generous size, as was the bathroom. There is a lovely garden with river frontage and views of the countryside. My partner and I stayed for 3 nights and wish it could have been more. We will certainly return in the future and would really recommend the Wayford Bridge Hotel for a relaxing break.

Having moved away from norfolk and therfore not visited wayford hotel for about a year we noticed a vast improvement in, the staff, customer service, decor and furnishing of the bar, restaurant and lounge areas. But most improved was the quality of the food. Exellent evening dining and a beautifully cooked and well presented breakfast. Great value for money. Will certainly use this hotel whenever we return to norfolk. Our room was in need of re-furbishment although very comfortable. I am assuming that all the rooms will be up-graded as other parts of the hotel have been.

We all ways enjoy our stay as we visit our parents often who live near by. The down stair is looking good with the new carpet furniture and decorating which was being finished while we was there this time.
