The staff at this hotel are excellent, I couldn't fault them for helpfulness and friendliness. The breakfast, that is included, is a continental style...so bread, toast and cereals. Much more than a hostel, with it's muffin and coffee. The breakfast room had a friendly atmosphere. Although the rooms were basic, they supplied T & C facilities, plus soap and shower gel.
Not so much a bad experience, as a heads up for others. THIS IS A 2* HOTEL, don't expect it to be more than that. It is a step above a hostel...but no dormitories.
We booked one triple room at the first floor and one quadruple room at the basement. Both bathrooms are quite tidy and clean. The triple room upstairs is much better!
No windows for rooms at the basement. Uncomfortable beds and the heater is not working, so it was shivering at the midnight...
Good location Nice and helpful staff Flexible attitude
Wifi is very hectic Matrasses keep slipping away Narrow beds (from continental point of view only)
great location, near underground, friendly staff.
breakfast, wifi (doesn't work well at room), small room (single).
24h reception and good breakfast
strange mistake with giving the keys to our room to other guests
Room: ok Location: ok
Breakfast There is free wifi but it doesn't work well at rooms
The room was clean and nice, location is ok
On the first floor the wifi was not connecting. I used the wifi from the second floor. The matress was not confortable.
The hotel is located very close to tube station Bayswater.
Rooms are very small, the bathroom is hidden in a wardrobe, breakfast room small and hot...very small breakfast with instant coffee powder
Location. Nice and quiet environment.
Breakfast was poor. WiFi didn't work. Noise from other rooms.
Nice location, beautiful district. Room rather clean, although I found some hair on the blanket and the smell in the bathroom wasn't very nice. Coffee and tea facilities in the room. We got a room with two double beds, although there were only two of us, so we had more space, but if it's normally a room for four people it is incredibly small. Heating was good and working. Bathroom behind the closet door, which was rather funny. Fresh towels every day.
Polish girl in the reception very rude. Wi-Fi wasn't working at all. Breakfast is a joke, only toast, jam, cereal and instant coffee. Paper-thin walls and single pane window. Double bed very narrow and not the most comfortable one. Polka na recepcji bardzo niemiła, przeszła z nami na ty i kazała nam się "zmyć przed 11". Wi-Fi nie działało wcale. Śniadanie to angielski żart, tosty z dżemem i kawa rozpuszczalna. Cienkie ścianki i okno z pojedynczą szybą. Podwójne łózko ma może jakieś 120 cm szerokości.
The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating whenever we had issues, which was often. They even switched our room for us when we had issues with our door locking, which was very much appreciated. Lots of cute cafes around, including a mall and Starbucks, so you could go there to use their free internet. It's also right near one of the Big Bus tour London stops, which proved being really useful during our stay!
The rooms are so unbelievably tiny - the pictures are really deceptive. The breakfast is freeze dried coffee, concentrate orange juice, and toast - and it's a zoo even going down there between 7:30-9:30 when the entire hotel is there with only a handful of seating. The elevator is scary (really small and jumps a lot..). The wifi never worked, regardless of where you were in the hotel or no matter which of the 10 networks you were connected to that they had set up. Our first room - the door wouldn't lock properly - you could push it open even when it was locked. The bed was just a mattress - no box spring - and was awful to sleep on. Lots of back aches all around the next morning. I was unhappy knowing I paid an average of $65-70 a night for this, whereas had I seen the hotel before, I might have been willing to pay $30-35.
messed up our room
Very good location
Very uncomfortable beds Small bathroom, barely enough room to move
Tall roomy bedrooms
Breakfast disappointing as not enough space with warm milk and orange juice
Location is great, near markets, restaurantes/fast-food and near 2 underground train stations.
Very small room, mattress was old.
Very old uncomfortable mattress, hard to get a nights sleep on it
Very friendly staff
The location was ok, close to the tube. Cute rooms. Ok place for the money.
One of the female receptionist was really really rude and had an attitude. On arrival I found pubic hair in the shower. The bed spread had hair on it. You would think that the street was calm but it was actually quiet noisy in the night. Really bad wifi. Really hard beds. Cold breeze from the window all night.
Location is good, very close to Underground, Hyde park, with the Underground you're in the center of London in 10 min. The staff was really nice to me Includes breakfast, more concretely: toasts with butter and jam, cereal and milk, coffe, tea They made a mistake and gave me a twin bed, but I had paid for a single bed. More space!
Wi-Fi didn't work most of the time, and when it worked (a couple of times in 3 days...) it was really slow. Also the bed is really small and uncomfortable
Very slow wifi most of the time not working at al. Room walls are very thin so you can hear everything happening next to you. Our room was next to the stairs so everyrime someone was going up or down it made a hell of noise. Because of the noise we only slept from 3 to 6 am. One of the worst hotel experience I had in all EUROPE
You got more than you paid for.
The wi-fi was not working that well on the second floor and the mattress was a bit too soft.
Proximity to tube station.
Size of room.
The location, cost and cleanliness of the hotel.
The bread and coffee served at breakfast.
The location of this hotel was good, close to tube station and shops.
The room was uncomfortably hot, couldn't turn the radiator down. It was also a bit on the small side. Not much choice at breakfast either
